xbox one doesn't seem to be able to recognize my wifi's ip address

i'm very confused because not even 20 minutes ago my xbox live connection was working, but now it says that the NAT type is strict and when i go to test multiplayer/network connections it gives me a "cannot recognize ip address" error. i know it's not my
modem, because literally every other device connected to my wifi works on the internet just fine. this appears to only be a recent issue.

it's honestly really frustrating.. what exactly can i do about it, though?

I cant stream my Xbox to my Windows 10 Xbox app anymore after an operating system update. I am able to turn on my XBOX using Xoon but when I go to the Windows 10 Xbox app, I would type in my public ip address and it would not recognize it. For a month, I
was able to do it with no problem but since my operating system updated it doesn't connect. My public ip address has not changed.

wifi issues

So recently my xbox one has not been able to connect to my wifi network. It has before in the past and one day up and stopped working. I've called xbox customer support and went through troubleshoot steps with them but so far they have not helped. The wifi network shows up but whenever i try to test the network connection i get an error message that says 'cannot get an IP address'. I tried a wired connection and that works but i am not able to keep it wired all the time. If anyone might have a solution please help!

Have you previously set up a static IP for your console ? If so it may be that another device in your home network is using the same IP which causes a conflict.

For troubleshooting sake, could you also provide the following information as accurately as possible ?

What Country/State/Province do you live in?

Modem brand & model number:

Router brand & model number:

How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?:

Wired or Wireless (for each console):

Things you have tried:

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown:

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?:

Any Error Codes you encounter:

Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider):

If you haven't already, clear your consols IP settings as follows:

Go to Xbox One Network settings and select the option Alternate MAC address. Select Clear and power off you console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Power on your console and connect your Xbox One to your WLAN.

Let us know how that goes and we'll work from there.

IP will be the same, it also can help you out a lot if you need to open the ports to unblock party chat or strict/moderate NATS in some games like Black Ops 3, so to set a static IP use this guide
portforward.com/.../static-ip-xbox-one and lets us know if that fixed the problem. You can also try to use a network cable to connect the console and get the best speeds from
your modem/router.
