    Hello Everyone,

I have an Xbox One I bought on Day 1 and in November of 2014 I started to have the occasional issue with the drive not reading discs - both
0x80820002 & 0x91d70000 errors. Mostly I would just eject it and then put it back in and it would work again. Starting in January it started to get worse and happen on 75% of the discs and then continued to happen on 100% of discs now.

I tried all of the fixes I found online - uninstall/reinstall blu-ray app, hard restart, changing power on options, hold the disc and let it put it in after a few seconds, etc but I found the solution was to tilt the Xbox 45 degrees when putting in the
    disc!

At the end of February I contacted Xbox Online support to request a service fix but was told my warranty was over on Jan 29th and that they had a grace period of two weeks which I now exceeded by two weeks! I found it a bit of poor customer service that
they wouldn't extend my warranty another two weeks to fix an issue that has clearly affected many other people judging by other threads like this -
    http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4269/t/1815414.aspx?pi7962=1

I would rather not spend $120 to get a replacement when its clearly a known hardware issue. And I would rather not have my console tilted 45 degrees all the time.

Has anyone had any luck escalating these issues to Customer Advocacy & Exceptions Teams?

My alternative is to move all of my physical disc buying and movie watching to the "other console" which I'd prefer not to do.

    Thanks!

    :)

    Xbox Can't read disc.

Hey guys, my Xbox is having issues reading the discs. It doesn't make insane grinding noises, but it still doesn't read the discs. And as silly as it sounds, I blow in the tray and it works. I have to do this everytime, so I know there is something wrong
with the system. Any quick fixes, or should I just use the warranty and get a new system?

swapped console has problems just 6 weeks out of warrenty and i have to pay again

I had a repair Stop correcting "i" paid for in September 2016 I was sent a replacement in stead of mine being fixed it was overheating now just 6 weeks out of warranty the replacement doesn't read discs or eject every time all discs are perfect and original
I have been told this now has to be paid for again which would then be almost the price of a new Xbox one spent on the 2 repairs of which I will receive another 3 months warranty were as if I bought a new onw id have had a years warranty Xbox I ask you to
show some customer support and fix or replace this one free off charge. Even if you don't give the extra 3 months warranty.

yours a hopeful loyal xbox gamer

How do you have it setup? try horizontal.

  7. Ok so I need to put in my two cents in here.

First of all, porkchop I'm glad I'm not the only one who figured that out. And yes before anyone else asks, the console is horizontal. The way it should be. When you insert a disc, be it a game or Blu-ray, it will not read it most of the time. Sometimes
I get lucky. Most of the time, not so much. I went through many a trial until for some reason it dawned on my. Since this is a slot load, what if the disc isn't getting in deep enough. My idea was to let gravity help the disc sit in place since when you load
a disc in and the xbox doesn't read it, it usually makes a noise like the spindle is spinning but not the disc. I got the idea that this was going on when one of my movies came out scratched. Nothing major but enough that I noticed. So I tilt my Xbox upwards
from the front to a 45 degree angle too and that makes it work.

I had a chance to get mine replaced by warranty but when I tried to make the order myself the system bugged out. I contacted customer support who then wanted to expedite my order but to do so, they had to put a hold on my credit card of $350. I told them
I didn't have that kind of money and they left me at that. Poor customer service that day. I was so put off I came here to the forums and found some horror stories about how some people had been *** when they sent their xbox in for repairs. Their Xboxes were
getting sent back without repair all banged up with a note saying they had been tampered with and that Microsoft would not ever repair them under warranty. There was dozens of similar cases like this. So I walked away.
