Discus and support Xbox One doesn't Identify Xbox One Games as a disc that is compatible for it? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I recently bought Destiny, and I popped it in to my Xbox One, only for it to say that I should put in a Xbox One game, CD, etc. I tried to restart it...     I recently bought Destiny, and I popped it in to my Xbox One, only for it to say that I should put in a Xbox One game, CD, etc. I tried to restart it and all that but it resolved nothing. I tried another game, and it said the same. What is the problem?

    It's not quite an update, it's the entire game. The Xbox One doesn't install anything at all off the Xbox 360 disc; it uses the disc as a licence check and then downloads the entire Xbox One-compatible version of the game.

    That detail doesn't change the answer, though: as you say, an Internet connection is absolutely required.

    Bioshock Infinite is not being recognized as compatible

    Everything is working on my Xbox One, it recognizes all the Xbox One game discs I put in, and other Backwards Compatible 360 games, however, when I put in the disc for Bioshock Infinite, it says that the game is not compatible with Xbox One, despite it being
    on the list for backwards compatible games. Not quite sure what to do.

    Is your console place vertically or horizontally? The console itself does need to be placed horizontally.

    If this is not the case, sadly, you do need to set up a repair for your console. It is something with the console disc drive not working properly. You can set up a repair 1 of 2 ways

    1) Call 1-800-4-MyXbox, and set up a repair with an agent.

    2) Go to myservice.xbox.com and set up a repair on your own.

    I would suggest the 2nd option, no wait, and is easier in the long run. If you need additional help setting up a repair, please reply to this thread

    Ive had this issue 4 times since april. Each time I reset my xbox1 to the factory settings and it worked sgain. Such a hassle to have to donit each time though, especially when it takes forever to redownload all my apps and games!

    no that isn't possible. The installation for the Xbox One are game versions that are compatible with the Xbox One.

    The advantage on Xbox One is, if you have a 360 disc with scratches that doesn't work on the Xbox 360 anymore might be good enough to download the game on the Xbox One ! 😉

    Hi, no, you need wi-fi or a wired connection to install xbox 360 games on the xbox one, due to the fact you have to download an update for the game so it will work on the Xbox One.
    It's not quite an update, it's the entire game. The Xbox One doesn't install anything at all off the Xbox 360 disc; it uses the disc as a licence check and then downloads the entire Xbox One-compatible version of the game.

    Backwards compatibility

    Double check to make sure the game is backward compatible on this list.
    https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games.     If it is on the list, then make sure your console is connected to Xbox Live and try inserting the game again in the xbox, and then install the game. Also some Xbox 360 games have
    2 discs, so if one doesn't work, then try the other one.
