  1. Xbox One doesn't display on TV screen

    I've been having some difficulty with this for a while now; my Xbox One does not show up on screen when I have it connected to the TV.

    In the past, several things have seemed to help and temporarily fix my issue. None of these 'fixes' have been related at all, so I doubt whether or not they specifically affected the original issue.

    Some things that have helped have been:

    • Unplugging my power brick from the outlet and moving it to a different outlet
    • Unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it into a different HDMI input
    • Turning the Xbox One off and turning it back on again
    • Letting it sit unplugged for a while and then plugging it in again after some time has passed
    These have not always helped, and are currently not helping me.

    I have already checked my HDMI cord and there is no issue with the cord itself. I have checked to make sure that it is plugged in correctly, and it is. My TV is acting as if the HDMI cord itself is not plugged into anything but the TV. I also know that the
    issue is not with the TV.

    I have tried to boot the console in low resolution mode, but I am unable to do so whenever I try. I press down on the Xbox button and the eject button together at the same time, but I do not hear any beeps indicating anything has happened, even after 20
    seconds of holding them down.

    I have no idea what the issue is. I suspect it is somewhere within the console itself, but I am at a loss.

    :)

  2. Your screen is blank after you power on the console

    Do you have any other HDMI devices that display correctly?

    My question is...is it the TV because it doesn't sound like its the Xbox One if it works on another TV just fine.....You can also test this by setting up the xbox one on another TV.

    Try this:

    The internet mentions something about a firmware update for the TV.....I'm not familiar to guide or make suggestions on those topics. (Searching Hisense TV Black screen problem)

    When playing Division the screen is all zoomed in and I’ve tried everything. Help!

    If you play on Xbox One, you can use the Safe Frame setting to adjust the screen. To find this setting

    - Once you launch the game, from the main menu - before hitting New Game or
    Continue, select Settings then Display

    - You'll be able to adjust the Safe Frame slider to allow your monitor or TV to display more of the screen

    If this doesn't alleviate the issue, it's possible that your screen isn't set up correctly to display the game. Changing your TV / screen settings may correct the situation.

    The exact steps will depend on the brand and model of your screen or TV, but please try different:

    - aspect ratio settings;

    - display area settings;

    - overscan setting;

    Some screen also have a Zoom feature that, if enabled, could cause the screen to be cropped.

    If you are unsure how to do this, please consult your screen's manual or manufacturer.

    These steps should allow you to display the full game screen.

    Xbox 360 Elite display issue.

    Yep. I set the console to 720p using the TV that works, and then tried it on the TV that doesn't. Now the TV detects the Xbox properly, but displays a black screen. The second TV that I tried it on is a plasma one.
