Xbox One doesn't auto update games or apps

My x1 has never auto updated games or apps can someone please help?

It's a launch edition x1, instant on is setup and the auto update downloading box checked. Firmware is up-to-date.

Unfortunately my x1 has never auto updated which is real annoying

Get disconnected for update, but nothing happens?

If the update doesn't auto clear (not all updates are stored in the cache) go into storage > HDD/MU > Games and Apps, find the game and delete the title update.

 

Not auto updating

Xbox isnt auto updating any games or apps.

Checked that auto update is switched on which it is; Instant on is enabled; Xbox is connected via ethernet at all times.

Happens with all new games, existing game updates & existing app updates.

Recent examples:

-Bought Dynasty Warriors which didn't auto download

-Pubg update (4GB) had to be manually started

-Todays eso update (40GB) has just been manually started.

Running Xbox One X, 40mbps fibre & Cat6 ethernet cable.

Sorry to hear about the update issues!

Just to gain some clarification on your situation, is your Xbox One off when you are leaving it to update? When it is automatically set, it will only download when it's in stand-by-mode. And If you turn on your Xbox before the update it will not be installed.
But if this doesn't sound relevant, I'll provide recommendations below:

• Try doing a power cycle by holding the power button until it turns off.
• Unplug it from the outlet.
• After about 30 seconds - 1 minute, plug it back in and power it back on.

And hopefully this will resolve your issue from both cases I've provided. Let me know your status once you return.

Thank you for your post. I tried what you suggested but unfortunately it didn't work.

I have therefore looked further on Google and it appears my problem is the console is not actually in "Instant On" mode even though the settings says that it is and the appropriate boxes are ticked beneath. This is because the LED on the power brick is
orange which indicates it is in energy saving mode. I am also unable to wake the xbox up via the Kinect voice command.

I therefore set the X1 to "Energy Saving" mode and have power cycled. I have plugged back in and re-selected "Instant On". The light on the power brick was then white when I turned the X1 off which from what I have read is correct for instant on.

I will check to see if the LED is still white and if any game updates have been downloaded to the console when I get in from work and let you know. I will try to wake the console from "Instant On" via voice and post again later.

I have the same problems. Only game updates install sometimes while instant on is activated. Game download doens't work since October or November and newly I have to install the system updates manually.

Yes I tried the power button shutdown and unplug thing many times.

 

Same better, xbox is on power saving mode but well not update automatically! So many Canaan bugs with xbox onecome on Microsoft!
