Xbox one doesn't auto-connect to xbox live on start-up

Hi everyone,

i've bought an xbox one without kinect a couple of days ago and i'm experiencing a strange issue: when i turn on the console my account logs in and, after a few seconds, the dashboard appears.

At this point i expect to be connected to xbox live but, unfortunately, is not so: a large tile on right tells me that it was not possible to connect to live and that it could be a service problem.

Clicking that tile the network setting menu opens and, mamgically, the console connects to live (if i don't click it the console never connects).

Is someone experiencing this strange behaviour? There is a solution or there is a missing setting/console bug?

Signing in but not connectiing to Live

Hey. I live in the US and just had to upgrade the HDD on my 360. It's an old style Elite 120gb and I upgraded to a 250gb hard drive. Since the upgrade every time I start the system up my account auto logs in but doesn't connect to Live. I then have to manually
connect and it connects fine that way. Any idea what the problem is?

Keep Needing to "Check Network Connection" b4 Xbox Live Signs in

I have two Xbox One X's and this in happening on both. While the console auto-signs in, it doesn't auto sign into Xbox Live. I have to keep selecting the "Connect to Xbox Live" icon, which then takes me to Network Settings which then eventually shows that
I have an open NAT and then Xbox Live signs in.

I've tried Hard Resets which work for a couple of turn ons then it's seems to forget to connect to Xbox Live again. I've removed my account from the console then put it back on again. I've even done several Full System Restores. I've tried port forwarding
and switching to Full Cone. I'm really at a loss. It's just doesn't seem to go to the next step of auto signing into Xbox Live.

Only thing I haven't tried is setting the DNS on the console. I read of a similar problem on a 360 where this worked.

PS Ethernet connection makes no difference either.

I'm almost resigned to the need to manually sign into Xbox Live every time.

I've been having this problem as well, since last night. Still cannot connect, and there is no reported service outage. Error code 0x87DD000F

Same for me for the last 2 weeks. I have a thread opened on it as well. Every time i have tried i checked for outages and there were none. Still waiting for some information on this.

I've found out that, disabling profile's auto connect the console log automatically on xbox live.

In substance it cannot log on with everything, only one of the two...

Can you guys check this thing?

Microsoft are aware of an issue affecting Singapore and the teams are currently investigating. hopefully they can resolve it as soon as possible, but they don’t have an update or ETA at this time.

This is a temporary solution/work around, posted by Tig3rPaw:

OK ...I have solved it ....at least on all of Xbox 360 (1 x original and 2 x Kinect S). The problem is definitely at the server end and it involves login upon start-up. For those of you who have automatic login set to "on" for your Xbox Live account ....you
will get the freeze after Xbox starts-up and tries to log you in. This problem only came about after the recent update and seems to affect more Singapore Xbox base.

First thing you need to do is to NOT auto-login to your Xbox Live account. After start-up and when the Xbox logo finished spinning in ....you will get the small spinning circle that begins the loading and connecting to Xbox Live. Immediately when you see
the small spinning circle ....hit the Guide button (the big X), sign in using an account that is not Xbox Live. When you are now in the game ...here is where you can switch to Xbox Live and all should be OK. Basically, you are by passing the start-up sequence
to prevent auto-login.

sequence that calls for login to Xbox Live ....once XBox sorts out whatever nonsense that is causing the problem ....things should be OK to go back to auto-login. Hope that helps some folks out there.
