Xbox one doesnt allow local accounts?!

I am extremely annoyed at the moment, so excuse any ongoing rants.

I just bought an Xbox one replacing my 360 which I've had many years. I have 2 cousins, 5 and 6 years old respectively. On my 360, both of my cousins had their own individual accounts, which were not at all connected to Xbox Live.
Since they are nowhere near the age to have an email address, let alone an Xbox Live account this was perfect, the fact that my 360 could have accounts without Xbox Live. This meant that my cousins could have their own save data, custom items in specific games,
and they could keep their inventory in Minecraft so long as they signed into their profiles which, once again, were not connected to Xbox Live whatsoever. I expected the same feature on my Xbox One. However, once I got my Xbox one, I was extremely horrified
at the fact that, as far as I can tell, EVERY ACCOUNT I MAKE HAS TO BE CONNECTED TO XBOX LIVE. WHY? Because of this blasted system, at my cousin's can no longer have their own profiles, save data, inventories in Minecraft, Etc!!! Once again my cousins are
five and six! They are nowhere near old enough to have Xbox lives and they are not getting Xbox Live anytime soon! I don't understand why my stupid Xbox has to have Xbox Live for everybody! It is because of this dumb feature that I am about to return my Xbox
One, hook up my 360, and pretend this never happened... I'm extremely disappointed at the moment, and I will eventually get myself an Xbox One again once I find that I can create accounts without stupid Xbox Live.

Local area connection dissapeared

the name says my basic problem but i'll say the rest

for me to connect to xbox live, through my lap top, i need to have local area connection, some times it just works, other times i need to bridge the connection between local area connection and my wireless, other times i just to turn off or turn on different
settings in local area connection to allow it to connect, i dont understand why reactivating the settings that were preveting xbox live from connecting would allow it to connect again, it dosnt make sense. but not after deleting the bridge (which is another
one of the solutions that randomly works) local area connection has disapeared and wont come back. i need help

That's not entirely true. What is true is that each account you set up does indeed need a Live Profile, however, you do not need Gold accounts to use these profile, nor do you need the console to be connected to Xbox Live to use these profiles or to play
games.

Once the profiles are set up, either leave the console as it is, or disconnect it from Xbox Live. All disc based games will work just fine offline. You do not need an active Xbox Live connection to play single player games.

Obsessive power Yes, I am aware of this, however the fact stands that I have to have some form of Microsoft account to set up the account. Not a problem for me, I’ve had an email address for many years, so I made an Xbox live profile.
No biggie. However, Since my cousins are 5 and 6, they don’t have email addresses. So they can’t get a Microsoft account to set up their profiles. That’s what I liked about the 360; my cousins didn’t need to have a Microsoft account to set up a profile/avatar.. I
don’t even play online myself. Nor do I have Gold.

all current Gen consoles needs to be activated online even ps4.and switch along with profiles

But you don't have.to have a active subscription to play single player or disc based games

When you go through the process of creating an account, you can generate an email address @outlook.com

The Xbox 360 has been around for years and the Xbox One has been around since November 22, 2013.

When you create an account for them, it will retain their own gamer score and game saves that will be tied to their own account that they can then use on other Xbox One consoles.

Is there a reason why you don't want to keep and maintain your progress on Xbox?
