    Xbox one does not turn on cable box at start up


    My Xbox one does not turn on my cable box when I use the Xbox on voice command. It does however control the cable box perfectly when using the one guide and changing channels etc. and my TV powers up and down when using Xbox on/off command. when
    I test the cable box in the settings menu it turns it on and off properly. It just doesn't turn it on when I power up the system. I am using and AT&T U-verse HD box ISB7500

    Xbox One can not turn off Xfinity X1 DVR

    Hello,

    I have the Xbox One control the TV and Cable box. It turns on/off and volume up/down/mute my Sony TV , it also turns on and changes the channels on my Xfinity X1 DVR, but it will not turn it off. I see it send a command to the box and try to power off, but
    nothing happens. Every brand I try for the Cable Box does not turn it off.Current and only code that comes up is C1982. Anyone have success with any other codes?

    can i watch my cable through my xbox one without having to turn on my xbox one?

    i have only one HDMI port. is there anyway i can hook up my HD cable through my xbox one and watch it without having to turn on my xbox one? i rather not have my cable box and my xbox one on at the same time.

    I got it working, I am just trying to figure out how to delete this post now ha ha. In the start up menu I did not have toggle selected for my cable box on power up

    I have DVR/OnDemand functionality.....

    When i hooked it up started watching TV......just to see what does or doesnt happen when i use the cable box remote.....hit the DVR button and it came up then hit TV show i had recorded it played.......i use my cable box remote FFW RWW etc all works then
    went to OnDemand it all works there as well......my DVR/OnDemand are channels on my cable box.......so i guess my cable box bypass allows that type of interaction on the xbox one......even the channel guide comes up....just did this you can set it to record
    shows also........from what i can see is there is complete functionality from my cable box to my xbox box

    Same exact problem here. Had everything set up and Watch TV was running smoothly when I decided to see if the Xbox One could turn on my TV, Cable Box and Audio Receiver with the "Xbox On" command. So I entered all the information in the setup (TV, cable
    box, and audio receiver model), turned everything off, said "Xbox on!" and only the Xbox turned on. I turned everything on manually, went back to Watch TV and was greeted with the error code 0x8027025a. Like Ape One, I can no longer access the TV set up commands
    to start over. Looks like this will need a patch update to fix before it will work again :(

    i did not have audio problems, but xbox off does not turn off my xfinity cable comcast box. you are all having the same box, rng 110,

    Power and pass through hdmi.

    Correct, the Sat box does not turn on everything, the Kinect does. Powercycling the Xbox renews the HDCP handshake between the Xbox One and sat box. This issue is being worked on by us and our partners at the cable providers. I know this is an unnecessary
    annoyance and we are working to fix this issue.
