    Xbox one displaying Black Screen after Start-Up


    Upon switching on my Xbox One console, the green start-up screen displays as normal.

    However, after a few minutes the screen turns to black in which I can't do anything. After another few minutes, an error message comes up and tells me that I can't connect to Xbox Live and to "try again later".

    This has been occurring for a few hours now and I can't seem to find a solution - I've already tried a hard reset. If anyone can help me with this problem, it would be much appreciated.

    I'm now experiencing what appears to be the same issue as Terrell Watson. My xbox had started behaving glitchy and slow for the past week or so. Then today at start up my Xbox One was stuck at the green loading screen for 10 plus minutes before the screen
    went black. My Xbox One then hung on a blank black screen forever sometimes displaying an icon for a few seconds before going completely black again.

    Black screen after start up screen?

    I tried everything when this happened to me and then I tried the last step which was to reload the last software update with usb flash drive. If you've tried everything then XBOX support told me either to send it in to them or take it back to the point
    of purchase. I just took it back because I'm not waiting up to 7 weeks to get my Xbox One replaced. Hope the best for you and your replacement if needed.

    App/Game shortcuts now showing ms-resource names only on Home pane

    I had the same ms-resource:LABEL_MESSAGIGN_APP_DISPLAYNAME issue yesterday and today I now have a black screen on start-up (after the green xbox one screen displays). I tried power 10 seconds, power switched off, and the hold eject and power on for 5 seconds
    but nothing.

    During normal start up it will go to the green xbox screen with loading dots on the bottom then it will display a black screen. If the black screen is what your talking about give it a minute for the xbox logo to pop up. The console is loading the dashboard
    when you see that screen.
