Xbox one display issue on 1080p

Have you tried more than one 1080p display to test it out? Unfortunately if the display issue has persisted on multiple displays with the troubleshooting steps you've included, your Xbox One console may need to be repaired. If this has persisted on other

Sorry to hear it. Was this console new or used? If it's a used/refurbished console then I would recommend returning it for an exchange.

If the console is new then I would recommend trying a new factory reset to see if things work for you after that.

You've actually got your 1080i and 1080p backwards as far as the pixels at a time. 1080i displays full frames at ~30 fps. 1080p displays 1/2 frames, where each frame's pixels are either even or odd and they alternate, at ~60 fps. 1080p is the best, hands
down. But it is the one that only displays 540 px at once.

Hey everyone,

Does the issue persist if you were to change the TV resolution to 1080p? To do this, follow these steps:

Settings > Display & sound > TV resolution > Select 1080p

As long as 'Allow 4K' is checked, changing the TV resolution to 1080p will not affect native 4K content from displaying in 4K. After the resolution has changed, restart your Xbox One console and see if the issue persists.

The Xbox One can only output at 720p and 1080p. If you TV does not support 1080p then it will only display at 720p from the Xbox One, as the Xbox One does not output 1080i at this time.
