Xbox One display is dim when first booted on?

    Hello,

I purchased the Day One XBone with the Kinect, and never had any troubles with it. However I have recently removed the Kinect since I never used it, and now when I turn it on my monitor is too dim. I always have to reboot the Xbox to get it back to how it
should be in terms of brightness. Does anybody know what is causing this?

It's not my monitor, and it has something to do with me removing my Kinect. It's not a big hassle, but I would like to fix it.

    Thanks.

    :)

  2. Screen brightness very low when turning system on

I'm having the same problem on my Xbox One. All my other devices hooked up to my TV display perfectly, and are not super dim like when I turn my Xbox on.

Xbox One X with Kinect and auto dimming lights

I got a Kinect Adapter and set it up to use my Day One Kinect with my X today and the auto light dimming isn't working properly.

I was hoping Kinect would help with dimming the console's power light like the Xbox One, as there are no user controls for this and it's quite bright. Since setting it up, it does dim both the console's and Kinect's lights, but only when I open the guide.
As soon as I close the guide, the lights brighten again, open the guide and they dim and so on. Going through the Kinect set up again hasn't made any difference.

This never happened when it was connected to my Xbox One and neither the TV nor Kinect have been moved.

At first I thought perhaps the TV's display brightness, which I haven't changed, was confusing the sensor, but even when the screensaver is active and the display is darker than when the guide is open, both lights do not dim. They only dim when I open the
    guide.

Having paid for the adapter to be able to continue to use Kinect and one of the benefits being the auto dimming of these lights, I'm disappointed with this not working correctly.

Is this a known bug and is it going to be fixed?
