    XBox One Display Flickering Polygons


    I have an XBox One that is 2 years old and has suddenly developed a display flicker. The screen has random polygons flashing all over it during game play and on the home screen as I navigate around. Static images display fine, but whenever there is something
    moving in the image, the polygons start flashing. This happens in all games. I have tried different TVs, different HDMI cables, and have tried all of the available display option settings on the Xbox. Here is a video of the issue:

    Has anyone seen this, and is there a fix for it?

    Is polygon count not important anymore?

    In minimal geek: Polygon count is the number of polygons (squares, triangles, hexagons, etc) that your system can display at once. The higher the polygon count, the more detailed your image can be.

    Xbox 360 strange video flickering ONLY when playing a game. Need Help

    Hi Indy Crew, could you try going to settings/system/console settings/display and disable display discovery. Do you then still get this flickering effect ?

    From what it looks like in the vid it seems that your HDMI port on the console is failing and you will need to get it serviced or look at a replacement console.

    Hi,

    Sorry about the issue there. It's not a fault with HDMI, it's a graphics hardware fault with the Xbox One's APU.

    The only fix is to have the console repaired by Microsoft.

    Sorry about the issue there. It's not a fault with HDMI, it's a graphics hardware fault with the Xbox One's APU.
