Xbox one display connection problem post update.

Display flashes on to off or doesn’t send signal to tv at all. Was working fine before the most recent update. Pressing the Xbox button does bring up the ‘what would you like to do’ option ‘power off, controller off, etc’ which mostly stays on the screen but otherwise no display or signal to tv. I have done the resets, soft, hard and factory to no avail, it was flashing on / off as I went through the setup. I started it in low res mode which worked but as soon as it’s switched to 1080 it no longer displays. Have tried another HDMI made no difference. At a bit of a loss as what to do next. Any ideas ??

Hi Mateus,

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately the 'offline update' did not help at all.

OS3 installation came up with an 101 error so I continued on to the OS1 as per the instructions.

OS1 worked, well it got me back to the setup again but is still flashing to 'no signal'....

OMG painful. Strange it was working fine a couple of days ago.

Any other suggestions ??

Given the solutions you've tried, I'm afraid it's a more serious problem. Usually problems like this would be solved with the methods you've tried, I suggest you try connecting the console to another monitor or TV if possible, test another hdmi cable, test connecting the console directly to the power outlet, if that doesn't solve I believe it would be necessary a repair.

sorry to hear. If the problem suddenly occurs, the first thing I would do is replace the HDMI cable, as they often like to say goodbye. Then check if a recently installed update is causing this Problem (because settings are suddenly adjusted or not longer
available).

This only applies to connections between the Xbox and my TV. The problem is the streaming to a remote computer. MY TV display is fine.
