  1. Xbox One -Display & Audio Settings

There needs to be a setting for this that supports DOLBY DIGITAL because most gaming headsets require dolby digital to get surround sound coming from it.

How can i get sound ? with my monitor ?

I'm assuming you hooked it up according to the instructions and charged it up (I think that one is wireless). You have to enable the digital audio out on the Xbox. Settings>display & sound and turn on the optical audio to DTS Digital Surround. Mine is defaulted to off. Hope this works.

    HDMI Audio Setting

I'm not using my cable box with my One. This is the system wide setting located in Settings, Display & Audio.

    Audio Selection

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you for coming to the forums, I'd be happy to help.

HDMI should be the default setting for audio if using HDMI directly from the Xbox to the display. What is your audio setup?

Either way audio settings can be found by going to Settings>Display & sound>Audio output, then there are columns for Speaker audio and Headset audio.

Let us know what setup you use and if you have any more questions on how to get to the audio settings on Xbox One.

HDMI to RCA Audio Issues w/ new Xbox One Refurbished-

    Hi there FamCircle,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with connecting the Xbox One to a CRT TV with an HDMI to RCA. Unfortunately, HDMI is digital signal and RCA is analog which will cause discrepancies with video and audio settings on the Xbox One.
I would recommend to try a different TV.

Audio settings are enabled through the HDMI cable directly plugged in to the console and TV.
