Xbox one disk will not install.

I've read up on how to fix this error and I've gone through the steps suggested on these and other forums, yet I cannot install my game. I'very tried deleting local storaget and I've tried installing in offline mode but nothing is working.

I have an external hard drive. I've deleted a game off of the internal to make space for the save so there should be no problem there. The disk is brand new. So, it is stuck on 2%. I've tried downloading it for a while now and it keeps saying "instalation
stopped." And sometimes it says "Ready to start" when it's not and sometimes it throws me into the game only tone throw me back out again. It also sometimes says the disk is dirty or damaged. I've cleaned it, it's scratch free and I've used a lens cleaner.

What the Hell xbox? These problems should be sorted because the summer of random issues I have with this console is absolutely mental.

Help.

HIGH DEFINITION download

delete everything bf3 including xbox cache , install both disks , insert disk one (or whichever disk does NOT contain the HD content) and start the game , when prompted to install hd pack select yes you will be prompted to switch disks , DO NOT exit the
game just switch disks and wait till it starts too install itself dont press anything

Cannot install disk 2 of Fallout 3 due to my 360 4B, but I have a 32GB thumb drive......

So disk one was not an install?

Hey there simplelifetree,

Sounds like the issue is either with the disc, disc drive or the external hard drive. Have you been able to try it without the external hard drive plugged in to see if it will install? You can always try to move the game to the external drive after.

Also, are you having issues installing other Disc based games on the console? If not, you'll want to try to install the disc on another console to verify if the Disc is the issue or not.

Give both of those suggestions and shot and let us know how it goes!

I have had the same problem trying to install Fallout 4. I got to 99% and it gave me the error message. The disk has one very very minor scratch, I have disks that are more scratched that do not have a problem. I do not have an external hard drive and I
don't have another console to try the disk on. I played the same disk on a friends Xbox before I bought it. This is also the first time I have had a problem installing disks. I need help with this...

I don't think you fully understand what is happening

It's not against the rules unless you've use other methods to obtain it

HOWEVER WHAT you are doing is different and not related it isn't what you think it is

Digital and disk licenses are completely different

When assuming you talking about xbox 360 or older games they are region locked and will not install without circumvention

When you pop in the disk you aren't installing the digital version

You are installing the disk and queuing to download the patch that's why the digital one disappears when you remove the disk without installing the disk

You arent playing thr digital one

You will still need the disk ti validate the install to play

Xbox 360 games are region locked digitally not via disk which is console region locked which doesn't apply to xbox one

you take disk, put it into xbox, it installs, but need the disk to play. installing makes loading times faster and the disk is there to prevent sharing. it's not as bad as it seems the only problem is xbox one storage is non-removable. but you can use
external drives apparently.

installing disk 2 [the disk you put in to actually start GTA V] will hinder game performance, so don't install disk 2 if you want quality performance...but disk one is the manditory install
