Xbox one disk read error all formats suddenly. Had no issues before. Xbox turned itself on by itself and when shut down the power light flashes slowly white? My drive makes a grinding noise. Have a niggle this is a software issue like a failed update?d

This literally happened overnight with no problems at all before. The Xbox turned itself on by itself the same day the drive stopped reading disks!

Any ideas?. I have arranged to send back to Microsoft but feel this could be a problem I may be able to sort myself.

Status code for all disks 0x91d7000

    Any help appreciated

    :)

  2. Xbox one disk drive suddenly not reading any format of disk. Is it online issue related? Any advice?

    Hi Guy's

My Xbox one suddenly stopped reading all formats of disk Blu ray,DVD or Xbox One games on 27/12

The dashboard just says insert disk and then comes up with a error code.

Sometimes the drive makes a grinding noise but not all the time.

I have tried to reset the X1 to factory settings,

Press the power button on for 10 seconds for it to reboot

Unticked the blu ray live option and deleted the persistent storage 3 times

Put the Xbox One into power saving mode

I remember in the summer a update caused the X1 to have disk drive errors and I have also read that the disruption we have had to the Xbox Live service could also cause problems?

I have contacted support who have said send it back but I have a niggle that this is not disk drive issue. More likely a software internet problem?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

my power brick went i have a question concerning my external hard drive

    Hi there,

I assume the same as you do, the blinking light is only present when the external hard drive is in stand by mode and since there is no power from the xbox one console it will determine that there is no need to stay on stand by and will shut itself down.

I wouldn't worry about the external storage device, it's more then likely going to work again like normal when you get a replacement power supply.

Looking online, the error 0x91d7000 seems to relate to backed up Blu-Ray discs.

Is this the kind of disc you are trying to use or does it happen on all kinds of discs, DVD, Audio, Original Blu-Ray etc?

When the console is on and the light flashes, it is usually syncing settings and shutting down. Nothing to worry about with that.

  5. Thank you for reply!

    All media DVD,Blu Ray,Games.

I have never had any issue with my drive.

Suddenly happened when I noticed my X11 had turned itself on and the dash said insert disk.

Another thing which is probably not related is this happened the same day Xbox Live and PSN was hacked over Christmas....

I have done reset holding power button and unplugging.

turned off blu Ray live and cleared data 3 times

    done factory reset

    deleted my profile

    tilted X11 to a angle!

and held disk for a 2nd before inserting

just baffles me that there was no warning and just happened over night

Forgot to mention I have also turned the X1 into power saving mode instead of always being on

    Thanks

New bugs with the Leviathan DLC?

Yeah, I believe it was only the original (Xenon) and the 2nd Gen (Zephyr) consoles that had problems with the new disk format. I had a Jasper console (the newest of the 'old style') before my current Slim and it had no problem with the new disk format. That
should only be an issue if your console is pre September 2007, and I think those all red ringed and died by now. :)
