    Xbox One Disk Drive


    I paid 400+ dollars for this fantastic gaming console. I would absolutely LOVE it if my Xbox One would read the disks when I want it to not when the disk drive wants it to. I feel like Microsoft programed the disk drive to *** with me so i cant play different
    games when i want. They want to *** with me and make me continue to eject and put the disk back in about 10 times inorder for me to play *** FIFA 16

    Have you tried other disks in your Xbox One? There could be a problem with your disk drive for the Xbox.

    Buying used Xbox one

    Oh yeah make sure to test out the disk drive before you buy it. Some of the launch xbox ones (including mines) had issue with the disc drive no reading and making a loud buzzing noise.

    I believe the early ones have alignment issues; noticed if I "hold" the disc for a nano second before letting the drive take it...no problems. If I switch discs without holding it back for that split second, it makes a funny noise and get the "can't read
    disk" or it doesn't register a disc even in. The other two newer One s I play on don't do that.

    Have you tried other disks in your Xbox One? There could be a problem with your disk drive for the Xbox.

    REVERTING EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE FROM XBOX BACK TO PC HELP!

    The Xbox One formats the drive in a way that a typical PC may not be able to browse it normally for files. However, it should still be detected in your disk partition manager.

    If you are using Windows:

    1. Plug the drive in.
    2. Open "Disk Management"
    3. Find the external drive in the disk list.
    4. Reformat as intended.

    If you are using macOS:

    1. Plug the drive in.
    2. Open "Disk Utility"
    3. Find the external drive in the disk list.
    4. Erase, and reformat as intended.

    The Eject button is on the front of the original Xbox One console right next to the disk drive, while the Bind button is on the left side, directly adjacent to the disk drive, with a symbol that looks like “)))” on it.

    What I do to trigger an update that won't download is Open your disk drive, Turn off the xbox(make sure disk drive stays open), Put disk into disk drive, Turn on xbox. This will close the drive and automatically trigger the download.
