    Xbox one disk drive


    Hi ever since the xbox one update on 10/12/2019 my xbox disk drive isn't reading any disk I put in.

    Though I found a way to temporarily fix it's really annoying to do everytime I want to play a game.

    The temporary fix i found is if i turn my xbox on as soon as the dashboard loads I press and hold the power button until it turn off then I turn my xbox back on and the disk drive works.

    Does anyone know why its doing this and is there a permanent solution,fix.

    This is getting really annoying when my friends want me to join there game but get impatient of waiting for me then I'm waiting until there multiplayer match is over

    Have you tried other disks in your Xbox One? There could be a problem with your disk drive for the Xbox.

    REVERTING EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE FROM XBOX BACK TO PC HELP!

    The Xbox One formats the drive in a way that a typical PC may not be able to browse it normally for files. However, it should still be detected in your disk partition manager.

    If you are using Windows:

    1. Plug the drive in.
    2. Open "Disk Management"
    3. Find the external drive in the disk list.
    4. Reformat as intended.

    If you are using macOS:

    1. Plug the drive in.
    2. Open "Disk Utility"
    3. Find the external drive in the disk list.
    4. Erase, and reformat as intended.

    My original Xbox won’t boot up

    The Eject button is on the front of the original Xbox One console right next to the disk drive, while the Bind button is on the left side, directly adjacent to the disk drive, with a symbol that looks like “)))” on it.

    What I do to trigger an update that won't download is Open your disk drive, Turn off the xbox(make sure disk drive stays open), Put disk into disk drive, Turn on xbox. This will close the drive and automatically trigger the download.
