Xbox one disk drive noise

Sometimes once i remove the disk out of my xbox one s, it makes the eject noise but i aready have removed it

another thing is that when i turn my xbox one s off it makes the eject sound

both issues dont happen that often but if anyone is having the same issues, please help

Weird Noise

Ok so my Xbox One is making a weird noise. When there is no disc in the drive the console is making a noise like the disk drive is trying to read a disk. The noise slightly goes away when switching to different apps or settings. The noise completely
goes away when I put a game disk in the drive and play. Noise comes back after I take the disk out of the drive.

Has anyone else heard this noise at all? It did not make this noise when I setup my Xbox One for the first time.

Buying used Xbox one

Oh yeah make sure to test out the disk drive before you buy it. Some of the launch xbox ones (including mines) had issue with the disc drive no reading and making a loud buzzing noise.

Hey Sekta!

It sounds like your eject button may be sticking slightly. You can take a Q-tip with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol and clean around the button to make sure there's nothing sticky causing it to hang. Also make sure you're pressing the button straight and
not at an angle which may be causing it to catch on something.

If the next xbox uses blu ray disks there will be no more need for disk changing. When the original xbox 360 launched the battle between HD DVD and Blu Ray was still going on. When HD DVD lost, Xbox discontinued that disk drive.

As for the noise, if you install the disk to the hard drive there is no noise.

That buzz is not typical, is there a disk in the optical drive at all? Sometimes an unbalanced disk will cause odd noises (I have one movie disk that creates an odd buzz and spins up and down at odd times if I leave it in the drive, otherwise my fan is
near silent). If the drive is empty and it makes that noise something might be rubbing against the fan so might be worth following up.

Also, It makes the noise even when there isn't a disk in the disk drive.

The disk drive problem I am talking about the grinding noise where u put the disk into the drive and it makes the noise. I am not trolling here I am just asking a question that's all.

I vacuumed out the disk drive and cleaned the disk and there is no whirring noise. Maybe it was the disk drive and/or the disks being dirty? Im going to play the game to see if anything happens.
