Xbox One disconnects & Slow boot

    Hey Guys,

since the big Update in November 2015 my Xbox One is booting slower than normal, i think.

Also i'm having disconnects from my internet-connection from time to time. It only happens when i'm watching a movie via Amazon Prime App.

The video stops and the xbox says "check your internet-connection". I have to restart my xbox and then the problem is gone.

Router: Fritz Box 7360 with a 50mbit connection

    Connection with Xbox: Wired

I checked if it's the router-reconnect or my router settings, but everything else is still connected and internet works fine when the problem occurs.

I didn't do anything in the Xbox-Settings so far. I just wired the xbox to the router when i bought it.

Online Gaming and everything else works fine. It's just the booting-thing and the disconnects from time to time.

Any idea why this is happening since the update?

    Thanks

    :)

New UI as of 10/11/2017 is awful. (Community Tab inparticular, Friends List...)

Has the new UI gone public now?

I got this a while back & hated it but now I quite like it.

Having ads is wrong, that I agree with, but everything else becomes 2nd nature & it is a fair bit quicker than the old UI.

The xbox one is not slower than than the 360.

Like you've been told before, there must be something wrong with your xbox one if it takes longer to boot up & is slower than your 360.

My xbox one is a day one & it's miles faster than any of my xbox 360's.

Clearing System Cache, does it help with performance problems?

Why wouldn't it be the HDD..?? The OP has stated, that the console is slow to start up & dashboard is slow..

The console is not connected to XBOX Live! or any ISP connection, in the system Boot State...

As I have mentioned.. The Dashboard is stored & embedded on the HDD now & isn't embedded into the systems cache etc [Dashboard is too big for onboard caching]...

  4. Xbox One disconnects & Slow boot

This is from the "known issues" page on the Fritzbox ......

    Known Issues

Xbox One users are unable to play P2P multiplayer or party chat when connected Fritz!Box router that has an IPv6 address assigned by the ISP. Running tests via www.test-ipv6.com will help identify if an IPv6 address is present or viewing the WAN interface
status in the router UI. Running the Test Multiplayer Connection troubleshooting tool on the console will indicate that a Teredo Address is not present.

Disable IPv6 on the router to re-enable Teredo tunneling required for P2P multiplayer.

    1.Open a web browser.

2.Enter Web Server's Default Page in the address bar. (Or click the link). A username and password is not needed by default. If one was created you will need to enter it here.

3.Select Internet from the menu on the left.

4.Select Account Information from the sub-menu.

5.Select the IPv6 tab from the top of the menu.

6.Uncheck the IPv6 support check box.

    7.Click the Apply button.

  6. normally , you would put the router in "bridge mode" to test it further , but that's not an option on the fritzbox sadly , you could try it wireless and see if that changes anything , and unless you can take it to a friends house and test on their network
, or have a friend bring his and test on yours , I'm not sure where else to go ....

Resetting video settings with Power+Eject buttons

I think you did it the wrong way, for slow Resolution Start up your xbox Needs to be Off. And for Reset it Needs to be On.

    • Hard Reset or Cold Boot:
When your XBOX is ON, press Power Button for ~15 seconds untill complete shut down. Disconnect Xbox for 30 seconds from Power Supply
This will Fix a lot of Problems and reset some Settings.
    • Slow Resolution Start Up:
When your Xbox is OFF, press the Power and Eject Button simultan (at same Time).
That will Start up your XBOX in a slow Resolution Setting.
