Xbox one disconnects from xbox live every time I try play an online game

every time i try to play gears of war 3 it says disconnected from xbox live. i go back to the dash board and I'm connected to xbox live again. i can play any other game online except gears. can someone give me suggestions.

yep, I've been doing that. Completed the whole process about 4 times now.

If I enter the game offline and then hit connect to xbox live....As soon as I hit the button, it pops up as disconnected from xbox live.

I'm assuming this is due to it finding that the game needs an update, which brings me back to the same issue of being disconnected every time I try to play a game online.

What else can I try?

it happens every time i try play any game online or offline it will say i have been disconnected from live. it doesnt matter what game it is the only thing that differs is the amount of time it takes to disconnect, i dont receive any error codes either.
i have tried the trouble shooting steps and also contacted my isp but there is no problem from their end it seems to be with the xbox live service.

these forums tell you how to connect to xbox live, but I can connect to xbox live, but it just keeps disconnecting. Some times it will disconnect every 10 min and sometimes it will stay connected for 30 min. If I am playing reach online it will disconnect
and it will disconnect when im not playing games.

check your internet by doing the test connection on your xbox
