Xbox One disconnects from wifi

Hi,

My Xbox One keeps disconnecting from the wifi. When I go to connect again, my wifi doesn't show up. It doesn't seem to be a problem with my wifi as I am in a call the whole time. So the problem must lie in the xbox. When I can't connect; I turn it off and
on, which barely works. Then I turn it off and unplug all the cables and leave it for a while, this works most of the time however it doesn't take long before I disconnect again. Also sometimes it says that my wifi is wired, and I am definitely not using wired
internet.

This problem is very annoying as it always disconnects me in game, so it would be greatly appreciated for any help.

i'd say it took an hour maybe and hour half to install from disk - but after it installed and i fired it up told me it wanted to download a 9Gb patch - at which point i disconnected my xbox one from wifi and tried again and it let me play then campaign with the wifi disconnected (an option to play offline would have been nice rather than forcing me to disconnect from wifi) not that into pvp so not sure if i'm gonna bother patching it - to be honest i'm already back on destiny anyway gunplay is much more satisfying than halos guns

You might also try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back
in and restart the console.

 

I recommend having an Xbox connection over a wired network connection. It is more reliable and faster. Wireless connection is not very reliable.

So yea, that does actually sound pretty annoying.

If those steps previously posted didn't help the way that you wanted, I would also say to try perhaps what we call a soft reset.

It's a factory reset that if done correctly should resolve any software issues that the console could be having at the moment and doesn't uninstall any of your games. Before you do that though, be sure that you know all the sign-in information for any/all
accounts on your console(because it will remove them and you'll have to redownload them).
