Xbox one disconnects from live every 5-10mins

Ever since I got the new virgin media superhub 2 my xbox one seems to loose connection briefly every 5-10 mins which is just enough to kick me out of a game.. Really annoying! I'm guessing it might be a setting i need to change on the router but can't seem
to find a solution anywhere, and i don't want to just randomly change loads of setting and hope for the best. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to sort it? Thanks in advance, Kyle.

Can you ensure your Homehub is setup just like this:-
www.unofficialguidetolive.co.uk/.../53-bt-homehub-strict-nat-tbc

(i.e. no port forwarding/services for Xbox Live)

How is your wireless signal strength? If its not so good can you try changing your wireless channel to a different one to see if that helps

Sorry I can't help you fix it but, I can confirm that as another user of the (not so) Superhub, this happens to us at least 3 times a day. It is possibly the built in firewall not handling the xbox one's traffic correctly and blocking the connection.

 

I have a superhub 2 & never had any issues.

Might be worth giving Virgin a ring.

Thanks for that DB, however the problem seems to have resolved itself after a recent update on VM's side.

 

Me & my big mouth,my superhub reset itself a couple times last night lol.

Seems to be ok now though.
