Xbox One Disconnects from Games but XBL is still connected

Hi Xbox Community,

I have been having an issue with my Xbox One over the past 6 months where my Xbox will disconnect me from an online game but XBL stays signed in. If i am in a party chat i get the party chat disconnected message but i am still in the party, just cannot hear
people.

I am connected wired to a Sky Fibre connection with the Sky HUB. If i run an uptime check on my router, there is no drop in connection and all other devices in my house (Laptop, Smart TV etc) are unaffected. i have checked with the ISP also and they were
unable to see any connection issues and advised this was a hardware problem with the Xbox One.

The issue in intermitant and i can sometimes goes 2-3 weeks without issues and then have a week where i am disconnected from multiplayer games every 15 - 20 minutes!

Anyone had this ? My first thought was it must be the sky hub blocking traffic of some kind. My NAT is Open. I even tried port forwarding for specific games but this didnt help either.

Multiple xboxs disconnect each other from live when signed in

We have 3 xboxes, two 360 S and one 2006 model. Whenever the slim xboxes connect to xbl, there is no problems.

The older xbox can connect to xbl while one of the slim xboxes are connected with no problems, however when it connects xbl while the second slim console is connected it will disconnect the slim console from live.

However if the old xbox is connected to xbl and the affected slim console connects to live, it will disconnect the old console from xbl.

We have tried a few ways to try to fix the problem, we have made sure UPnP is on, we tried setting static IP's to both affected consoles to no avail, we even contacted our ISP to change the network channel, which had no effect.

We just don't know what the cause to this problem is and will appreciate any help you can give.

 

Disconnection issues

So I'm logged into my Xbox one, connected to xbl with no issues. From my games and apps I attempt to load a backward compatible 360 game it proceeds to tell me I just got disconnected from xbl. Go to my home screen and I'm still connected no problem. All
Xbox one games work. Paid for or free games. Any suggestions?

OK, firstly have you tried to power cycle your console? This is done by (with the xbox on), holding the power button down until the xbox turns off, leaving it for a few minutes, then powering it back on. When you turn it back on, you should see the green
xbox animation before signing in, this shows you that it has worked. This process simply shuts the xbox down completely, and any background programs or games that might still be running. This process can fix any number of issues, so is worth a shot.

Second, if the above method doesn't work, are you able to test you xbox using a wired ethernet connection? As this will determine if the problem is with the wifi, or if it is definateyl a connection issue

Its a very broad issue, so could be any number of things like bad/unstable connection, wifi problem, router problem, xbox problem, etc. So hopefully one of the options above work
