Of course, it didn't start doing this until the "New Xbox One Experience" (or whatever it's called) rolled out so it's not completely Brighthouse's fault. You can't say Microsoft "fixed" anything unless they release a patch which gets rid of the problem.
As of right now, people have to go through Brighthouse to fix it (get a different modem or otherwise), and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there thinking their Xbox One is broken right now (I thought mine might be broken until I found this thread),
so imo I think Microsoft needs to address this.

@EtherForce , I agree , somewhat , if the update exposed the weakness in isp issued gateways , then MAYBE they can undo it , gateways have ALWAYS been the "least effective " way to connect to xbox live , a combo device (unless VERY high end nothing like
your isp gives you) just can not process the info in the same way a "gaming style " router (netgear Linksys and such if it says it supports "multiple consoles " its usually good ) I know , "it worked before" , and "my laptop loads a web page so my internet
is fine " ...its just not the same thing , dosent really matter who broke it , just how to fix it ...people are certainly free to wait on MS to do that or demand that they do that ...I have seen some that when the tech came out (I'm friends with a cable installer)
he simply elemated some splitters and ran new cable ...but even he (an xbox gamer also ) has his own modem and router and not a gateway from his own cable company....

And , I'm not saying this will fix everybodys , but everybody I know that did it fixed theirs , and the ones that have their own equipment like I do (online friends and real life friends that I play online with) have never even had any of the issues that
this forum is full of , can all that be just a coincidence ?

You have tried most of the stuff everybody else has (it's about 50/50 on the success rate ) last thing I would try is to go in there and put it in "bridge mode" making it only a modem and hook the Xbox straight up and see if it stays connected, that arris

Both wireless. Though I have also tried wired for the xbox one and the issue still occured.

Things you have tried:

Port forwarding, dmz, and resetting the console (these don't work). I have reset my router, which actually works, but after 2 days the issue comes back.

I opened and forwarded all the neccessary ports if this is what that means.

Bright house and that arris gateway are notorious for these problems , one poster on another thread said the tech was even aware of it since the tech himself had an Xbox , came and replaced the equipment and instantly connected...

Adding on to what Bimnog suggested. If that does work then you can get a good gaming router and connect it to your 'modem' and you should be good to go with your other devices.
