Xbox One Disconnecting Wi-fi Signal

Hello, I have tried to search the internet as much as possible for a fix but couldn't find one so here goes:

I have an Xbox One wired to my Linksys WRT160Nv3 router and every time I power it on, it completely takes out the wifi signal across my entire house. The Xbox itself is still online, but anything connected to the network wirelessly becomes disconnected while
the Xbox is on. As soon as I turn it off, everything reconnects.

I also have a PS3 wired into the same router and when I turn the PS3 on I do not have these problems.

Any idea what the problem could be? Please let me know any further information you would need to help fix this!! Thanks.

My download speed is absolute garbage!

Upon further inspection, I think I found that reason that I have garbage downloads speed. I don't know much about how Wi-Fi works so here goes nothing

Like i said before, my Wi-Fi Signal Strenght is 1 out of 4 bars without using my Wi-Fi Range Extender.

I get 4 out of 4 Wi-Fi Signal Strenght using my Wi-Fi Range Extender.

The best way to describe my set-up is this.

Imagine a square box to represent the Game Room.

I am forced to set-up my Xbox One in the Top Middle part of the Square because it is closest to the Wi-Fi Range Extender.

Any further and the Wi-Fi Signal Strenght will drop to 2 out of 4 bars.

The Wi-Fi Range Extender has to be located on the Top Left Corner of the Square because the Wi-Fi Signal coming from the left outside of the wall.

The distance from the Wi-Fi Range Extender to my Xbox One is 5 feet

Also located in the Top Left Corner is a Circuit Breaker

Circuit Breaker is located 5 feet away from the Xbox One also

Please tell me that the Circuit Breaker isn't affecting my Wi-Fi

Also, is it actually confirmed that Xbox Live purposely limits the download speed slower even though your ISP is providing fast download speeds?

If this is true, that would be so messed up indeed.

Where is XB1 Going?

I am already using something that is called a " Wi-Fi Range Extender " in my game room.

My Xbox 360 (Original White with 20 GB console) is using the Wi-Fi Adaptor that is being extended by a 12 foot USB Extender Cable, it gets 4 out of 4 Wi-Fi Signal bars.

My Xbox One only has 2 out of 4 Wi-Fi Signal Bars. because it is built into the system.

I certainly hope for my sake that the next Wi-Fi Adapter for the next Xbox One is at least 5 times more powerful than whatever is being used on the Xbox One for me to partake of the Digital Era.

I'm really glad that you're enjoying your Ethernet Cable connected consoles, it must be wonderful to have such a powerful internet connection for your Xbox 360 and Xbox One

Without being able to look at your numbers/connection setup in detail, this is a shot in the dark, so sorry in advance if it doesn't apply to you, but is it possible at some point your Xbox has been set to a Static IP? Even as I type that, it doesn't seem
entirely correct, because I don't know why it would bump ALL of them offline. My thinking was, if the Xbox is Static on an IP that other devices have been auto-assigned through DHCP, it should bump those items offline....

For example, if you have items connecting through a "Wireless Hotspot," which is grabbing 192.168.15.7 as its IP, and then the Xbox comes on and is set to ONLY accept 192.168.15.7, then suddenly it takes over that IP address and the hotspot can no longer
connect, which means neither can any of the devices connecting THROUGH the hotspot either....

Like I said, shot in the dark, but thought I'd check.

 

Well I do have a range extender in my house. Would that cause possibly interference?

How do I check if the Xbox is static or not? I can provide numbers if needed.
