  1. Xbox one disc reader, and random power ups

My Xbox one's disc reader sometimes doesnt read the game that is inside it and than the game gets stuck in the reader and wont eject for a very long time even after resetting. Whwn it gets stuck i try to manually eject as explained by xbox but that doesnt
work either. After some time the eject button finally works but that isn't until trying the eject button a very large number of times. Also my xbox one randomly turns on by itself from time to time for some reason and I'm not sure why. Any help would be greatly
    appreciated.

    :)

  2. Crunch! Crunch! Whirrrrrrrr! now experiencing random disc munch.

I've had my Xbox one for a month and so far I haven't had any issues. Last night I insert Forza and the disc didn't load, I eject it and re-insert and Crunch Crunch! I took the disc out and on the underside of the disc I now see scuff marks on the disc and
an alomost diamond shaped pattern. I power off the console power back on, wipe the disc clean and re-insert... it reads now....

Has anyone experienced this problem? i know their have been bad drive issues but this seems very random, ideas?

    Fixing the disc drive reader?

My xbox has not been reading any discs, so I can't play games or watch movies. I took apart the Xbox to move the reader forward because it was stuck. It worked for a day, but now it is back to not working properly. Should I buy a new reader or replace the box with the disc drive in it?

    Hey there!

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. If you're unable to eject discs from your console using the manual method, it sounds like your console may be in need of repair. You can explore that process via the
Online Service Center or reach out to your local
    phone/chat support team for help.

Good luck! Xbox one disc reader, and random power ups :)

Is there a way to load discs in without putting one disc in at a time?

I think the answer here is No. Not 100% sure on the question though.

Are you asking is there a way to "stack" more than one disc in the reader? The Xbox only has the one disc reader and it only holds one disc at a time.

Are you thinking of connecting an external disc reader on USB and hoping to queue things that way? Don't know that will work based on drivers being needed.

your disc reader might be screwed up. Take the disc in and out until it works and restart your xbox to see if that helps.

My disc reader was screwed up on my old xbox and would always say open tray or think the game is a dvd. The only way I would play is after restarting my xbox until it read the disc

    Hi Spiffy,

Thanks for reaching out to us! We understand it's concerning since the disc reader is not working. Does the console have trouble reading all types of disc?

Please remove the disc then try to
    power cycle the console
by holding the power button for 10 seconds then unplugging the console for 1 minute. Plug the console back in and turn it on. Once the console is on, try to insert the disc and see if it starts up.

Let us know how it goes :)

Have you tried unplugging the power cord from the back the xbox. But you might have a problem with your disc reader. Sorry I couldn't help more.
