Xbox One Disc Problem with Black Ops 3?

Hi all, I recently purchased the Black Ops 3 disc for Xbox One, upon inserting the disc to install, upon reaching 5%, the installation would stop and a warning saying "Check your disc, Your disc may be dirty or damaged. Try cleaning it, or choose a different
disc (0x87e00064)" I've been trying since 10pm last night, almost 18 hours now..

What do I do!?

I tried all the typical troubleshooting, going offline, hard reboot, disconnecting my network etc.

Please help, the game was purchased at Best Buy and I am not sure if they would accept open game returns/exchanges, even with this issue..

Have you tried installing the game while offline?

So firstly, stop and cancel the installation. Then take the disc out, and after that go into your settings, and network settings, then hit the 'go offline' option. The go back to the dash, and put your disc in, and hopefully the install should start working.

If not, you will definitely be able to take the disc back, all stores offer refund/return policy for faulty or broken products

There is a known issue with the Black Ops 3 discs. Many of them have manufacturer defects in them. I had to swap mine out for the same reason, and when I was there (Game Stop), there were others in line with the exact same issue. Game Stop said they have
seen this with about 20% of the discs they sold.

Opened media can be exchanged but not refunded.

 

I have the same problem now. It sucks . I just bought the game and I can't play it. Xbox live support can't find the error code and I returned the disk didn't fix the problem . did you figure out a way to solve the issue please share thanks very much

 

Go into settings/Disc & Blu Ray choose Blu Ray then choose persistent storage then clear persistent storage do that 2 or 3 times that might help you out.

 

With 20% of the discs having defects, it is quite possible you got another bad disc. There were several people in line at Game Stop with bad BO3 discs so you have to keep exchanging them until you get one that is not defective. I know it sucks! I just
hope this isn't a trend with future optical media for Xbox. This problem does not exist on PS4 discs. The guy at GS told me to keep exchanging it until I got a good one. Nice! There are no visible signs of the defect unfortunately...
