Xbox One Disc loading issue

My Day One Edition Xbox 1 does not recognize discs. I literally have to insert and eject disc multiple times before it will read the disc. This affects games, blu-ray, music etc. I've cleared the persistent cache, rebooted, disconnected power and the
issue still persists.

Doing a search online I see that this has affected other users. How anyone here had this issue and has Microsoft helped to resolve?

loading Disc issue

Does anybody know of any xbox1 games that you don't have to download a bunch of updates for? I purchased 'dying light' yesterday and it said there was an update of about 2.8 gigs. Well, after over 4 gigs it was on 88% and all of my monthly allotment of gigs
[5gigs per month] was gone. I'm on Hughes Network and now I have to buy more gigs to download the rest or wait till the 17th of July to do it!!! Help!!! If you know of any games that you can play without having to download a bunch of content from xbox live,
I'd like to know. THANKS!!!

loading Disc issue

Ragrding my issue. The turning it off works sometimes but i spent 20 minutes the other day trying to load fifa. Any other suggestions.

I'm sorry you're having this issue. Assuming the console is positioned correctly and ventilation isn't blocked, due to the nature of this problem being widespread across games, movies and music playback, and the steps you have already taken to resolve the
issue, is the console still under warranty with the retailer you purchased it from for a swap-out?

Hello, if you take the Xbox offline do those disc based games then work ok ?

I sometimes have issues with disc based games not loading and what I tend to do is pop the disc into the drive but gently hold the disc preventing the drive from taking the disc in for just a second and then let go of the disc.

The xbox one will install game updates during the install of the disc which increase the load times. Disconnecting the console from the internet should solve the issue

So my Xbox One had the disk grinding issue too. I was able to get it to read discs though.

Listening to the 'grinding' sound - it seemed like it was the motor that loads the disc into the slot. It seemed like it kept trying to load the disc even after it was all the way in the drive. On a hunch I put the disc barely in the drive - no enough to
grab the disc but enough for the 'loading' motor to start running. After a second or two I put the disc all the way in. This time the disc was loaded normally and started to spin up. I'm still going to replace the unit, but at least I can play the games I
purchased on disc until the advanced replacement unit arrives.

Any one have issues with their game not loading, asking to insert disc or download game when the game disc is already inserted? what about with xbox not booting up?...have had to unplug (from main power) xbox twice now for about 1-2 minutes then it starts
up.. What's weird is that it turns on and powers up but it doesn't load?!
