Xbox One disc is stuck from attempts to get it to run the disc

Hello. The disc is stuck in my Xbox One from my attempts to get it to run the disc(a common problem I guess from all the videos on youtube about Xboxs having trouble running discs). Now whenever I press eject, it makes a bad sound and doesn't do anything.
I tried doing the manual eject where you insert a paper clip into an opening, but that didn't do anything. So I'm not sure how to get the disc out, and hopefully stop disc running problems in the future without having to get service. Does anyone have a solution?

EDIT: The xbox is still functioning and playing digital games. The disk drive also occasionally makes bad noises as the console is on

Can I install a game on my Xbox 360 with a broken disc?

Only way to find out is try to install If it does install as long as you can get to the developer titles on the disc itself, when installed it SHOULD run perfectly. if not, attempt to borrow a disc from a friend and install that to your HD and use your disc
to run the installed game from there onward.

Sounds like an Optical drive issue OP, where the disc drive doesn't recognize that a disc was actually inserted, one trick is to slightly hold the disc by the outer edges while the drive attempts to pull it in, then let go.

Often, this trick will suck the disc in a tad further thereby FULLY activating the disc inserted mechanism. If no joy, call support.

Important, never place a finger in the center hole of a disc while attempting to insert a disc. If your finger gets stuck in the hole of the disc while the drive attempts to pull it in, you could lose some flesh. Yes, I learned that the hard way. lol

the paper clip it tricky , you need a large one and you have to press harder than you think , and if I remember right , its a little bit of an angle towards the front , not straight in....

Try installing skyrim to the xbox, if it has problems or gets stuck, it's not reading the disc properly. Make sure your disc isnt scratched - ones which run circular around the disc are the worst kind-even if they are faint.

Sorry to hear you are running into these problems. With the Xbox One consoles you don't need to set anything up to insert a disc. Have you made sure that there is no game stuck in the console? Go ahead and follow the support article to
