    Xbox One disc error


    Hi all i know most have had this issue etc but i need help. The xbox One will not read xbox 360 discs any more. I was part of the xbox insider program and i upgraded to xbox one X so i deleted insider on old xbox and do a complete wipe since then the issue
    with discs. The xbox is out of warranty and they want £119 to repair its a joke. Ive just purchased a new blue ray drive for the xbox one. I know ive then got to replace logic board and put old one into this. Can i get some advise please will this work.

    It sounds like you might have a faulty drive or a faulty disc. Have you tried another disc?

    EDIT: Disregard my last line as it sounds more like the update has caused this bug in some X1's and you've just been really unlucky with timing. No doubt MS will fix it soon.

    I did that and been on phone with them but due to Xbox One being out of Warranty they want £119 to get it fixed which is stupid considered this is the Original Xbox One. The blue ray drive was only £25 with free delivery ive only got to replace then the
    logic board i dont have a choice as im not spending that amout of money ti send off to Microsoft. When i was on phone to microsoft i told him the problem happened after the insider program was removed from that Xbox and system reset back to defaults. I would
    have it done by Microsoft to fix it etc but it dont justify that expensive price.

    You can look it up on youtube but i would recommend getting it fixed by microsoft

    Cant download Black Ops 2 on xbox one

    If other discs work then I would point to a problem with that one disc you're using.

    Otherwise, if this is with all discs please see here:
    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/disc-error

    Also see there for how to clean the disc, as the disc could be dirty (even if you can't see it).
