Xbox one disc eject

    Xbox one disc eject


    Got a new xbox one last month and up until last week it has been working fine.

    Now it makes the disc ejecting noise even if there's no disc inside causing the console to turn on at night. When I'm playing games the console ejects discs.

    I have tried doing a hard reset and have tried power saving mode.

    Anyone else have experienced this?

    Yep, mine did that as well.

    Freaked me out. You can opt to send it in for repairs but I've found that as long as its not having a problem reading discs, you're better off just reporting it to official chat support so that a ticket is created and letting them lead you in what to do.

    Replacements/repairs take 21 - 30 days unless its an advanced exchange.

    I sold all my disc games on EBay and went 100% digital

    Months ago my original Xbox one was replaced. Then I was sent a refurbished one that had many other issues. In the end I had the third Xbox one repaired by Microsoft.

    The third one now does this too which the first one did.

    I just assumed that this whole Xbox is of poor quality. Controller and the system.

    *** that really bums me out!

    This is my 3rd xbox one. My first one had many problems and my 2nd one was worse. i gave it another chance and got a 3rd but now I'm just assuming that it's a whole thing that everyone goes through.

    But the console is still fun when it works

    Hey there Aleph,

    Thank you for reaching out to us on the Forums. You should be able to manually eject the disc if it is in the consoles disc bay. Go ahead and follow the steps on the following support article to eject the disc.

    Manually eject a disc from Xbox One

    If no disc comes out then it is either not being done correctly or there is no disc in the console.

    Give it a try and let us know if this has helped.
