xbox one disc drives makes a buzzing noise

i either insert a bluray,dvd or audio cd and the disc drive makes a buzzing noise sometimes for about a second and wont read the disc that's inserted. I would to eject the disc sometimes several times so it can read anyone having this issue thanks

Oh yeah make sure to test out the disk drive before you buy it. Some of the launch xbox ones (including mines) had issue with the disc drive no reading and making a loud buzzing noise.

Help, my xbox one has started to make a buzzing noise whenever there is a disc in the drive. It's a dull noise that is very irritating when trying to watch netflix and other various apps. When there is no disc in the drive there is no noise, it only makes
the noise when there is disc in the drive. Even when Sat at the dashboard the darn thing makes the noise, it's not even like I'm booting the disc up or anything? I have the xbox one since launch and its been problem free until yesterday, is it about to die?

 

Mine makes the buzzing noise sometimes but other times it does not. Either way it doesn't read discs. I'm in the same boat as you. No solution at the moment.

 

yeah having this issue to getting sick of it not working says cant read disc

 

Yup same here seems to be another issue. If I have a game running for a while and then switch games it won't read the next one. Either have to shut down and unplug and let it sit for a while, or keep inserting and ejecting the disk. Very annoying!!

 

Mine won't ejecty disc and whenever i try to eject, or power on my console or off, it makes an EXTREMELY loud noise all the time. I went online and did all the requirements and nothing worked. I contacted them...chatted with someone from the technical support
online that told me he would call me the same night. No one called and i can't reach them anymore!!! Very discouraged of this product and service!!

 

Having the same issue, put in a disk the drive will make a buzzing noise and it won't play. I take the disk out and put it back in again, then it plays. This is the 2nd Xbox One I'm on my day one edition was doing the same thing got it replaced, with the
advanced exchange program 8 months later, it's doing the same thing again! WTF Microsoft!!! Now I have to get it replaced AGAIN. I am regretting getting an Xbox One this early. I should have waited. The early models always have problems. I should have just
stuck with my 360 for a little while longer. Even all the games I am playing right now, Titanfall, Watch Dogs, DA Inquisition, are on 360. Yeah they look uglier but so what? At least I wouldn't have to deal with this crap... I didn't need to make the jump
to next gen this fast. I could have held out a bit longer. I'm really kicking myself.

I am getting a new unit pretty soon. If this happens a third time I dunno what i am going to do!!!

 

It looks like you guys are going to have to send your Xbox in to get repaired.
