    Xbox One Disc Drive Spinning


    Ok so I need some advice or some answers to this issue I am having with my disc drive on Xbox One. When I install a game to the HDD the drive shouldn't spin when I load up the game should it? Mine spins constantly when a game is in the drive. I've been reading
    some people saying it spins now to protect piracy etc. but I'm not sure that's accurate. Can anyone enlighten me on this issue? Thanks

    Update not fixed buzzing opening/close or clear cache of xbox one... Stilo here again..

    Just added a newer issue... The bluray disc drive now spinning forever!

    here a Littel fix...it helps me!! If the disc sucked back after eject...let it there for 30 seconds then the disc will be reconised, you can hear the disc drive spinning,,,after that press eject and swap your disc. this works without reboot the xbox one

    Well mine doesn't stop spinning after the game is loaded. It clearly is still spinning because when I put in a Blu-Ray DVD it makes the exact same noise as it does when I have the game in; the disc spinning. I have tested multiple games and the drive continues
    to spin on all of them no matter how long I have the game launched for. The strange part is when I boot up my Xbox One console the drive starts spinning right away before I even launch the game intended to boot. Any more information on this would be appreciated.

    Update : Figured out that my drive stops spinning after about 10-15 minutes after the game has been loaded. Did some testing and came to conclusion that anyone with this issue give it some time and it will wind down. Thanks.

    Wolfenstain 360 needs one huge patch.

    You can treat your xbox the same as a new born baby and the disc drive could still break, it's not as bad as the early ones but it still does happen. and it's the disc that is meant to spin not the drive, LOL.

    If i have not a disc inside the drive don't spin. It's strange because the drive sometimes spins when i open for exemple xbox music.

    Blu Ray Player will not read movies

    My problem is very similar.

    Sometimes certain Bluray movies work every time, but then other times a different movie is inserted, and you can't hear the drive start to spin, and I get "no disc." I can take the disc out, reinsert it and usually 2-3x of this method and the drive will
    spin and it'll work. But last night no matter what I did with The Amazing Spider-Man Bluray disc (reinserted it about 25x) it would not spin and I kept getting "no disc." Also, a few times the Bluray drive sort of "honked" like it was thinking about spinning,
    but it just never did.

    This never happens with game discs as all my Xbox One games work fine.

    Does this mean my drive is going bad, or is it just certain movies that will be updated with the April bug fix? I hate to have to replace my whole Xbox One console for this if I don't have to.

    It has to spin the play disc. The whole game is 16GB. You install the first 8GB from disc 2. The other 8GB streams from the play disc. Or you could do what I did, install the 'install disc' to hard drive and the play disc to a USB Flash drive.
