Xbox one disc drive after update!!

My one will not play any discs no after the update I have had tonight it's saying clean disc or it may be damaged error code 0x21 which is weird as I could play all my games yesterday!!

Please shed some light on this situation

I would contact Xbox Support if I was you and see how long for a patch if not return it to Game.

 

Xbox will not finish update on any games

Games purchased digitally will automatically download and install the updates.

But games you purchased retail (i.e. disc-based) will require you putting the disc in the drive in order to finish the installation of the update.

PS4 updates both digital and disc media games regardless. I wish Xbox One would do this.

I find it utterly annoying to have to feed disc after disc into the X1 just to finish the installation of the update.

 

This happened to my friend last night. Doing a reset fixed the issue. Hold the power button down on the console for ten seconds until the console powers off. Wait a minute to power the console back on. Hopefully that clears up your issue

Nope. I do a reset all the time. It clears up most issues with the console.

 

i do the hard reset but when i put other game do the same thing when i wanna play other game need to do the hard reset again and again

 

Same problem for me. Seems to be ever since i got the last console update done. and my call of duty disk is the only one giving me these problems so far. the disk looks like new but has a wavy look to it now like as if it got heat distortion during the update.
(game disk was in the drive during update.)

 

Me and at least one of my buddies are having this same issue. Works fine after a hard reset, that is until you decide to switch to another game. I've wasted most of my play time today trying to get the darn discs to read. Issue wasn't started until after
latest update install.

It's happening with mine and my friends although doing a soft reset lets me play it is only a temporary fix. Please help us xbox guys. Thanks

 

Same problem here. Got the update yesterday I think (I am in the beta preview) and was playin some titanfall. All was well. Decided to put in some thief and bam hit with the same error msg described above. I did a full reset and everything was fine until
I went to switch thief back to titanfall and same issue again. Here's hoping they get this sorted out real quick cuz this is not a little minor issue - will get real annoying real fast

 

I'm having the same problem. Update came through after work yesterday. I went to put FIFA in and the disk actually got stuck 3/4th of the way in. I was able to pull it out without any damage. After a reset the first game I put in (Rayman Legends) worked
fine. Then I switched to FIFA and I got the error message. Another reset and FIFA was fine. Switched to Rayman and error message. Reset and Rayman was fine. But I cannot switch games without doing a reset.

 

I am in the same boat as you guys. Exact same problem, ugh. I'm also having issue with my MS standard mic after the update.

 

My Xbox is doing the same thing I should not have to hard reset after every game
