    Xbox One dims screen every ten minutes


    Ever since the recent large scale update, the Xbox has dimmed the screen every ten minutes. This happens despite the presence of a live user in view of the Kinect. Needless to say, this is irritating when one is watching an hour and a half long movie.
    Also, there is no ststem setting to disable screen dimming in this new version. Assistance is appreciated.

    ESPN and Netflix apps are constantly dimming

    While watching various apps, including ESPN and Netflix, my Xbox One S will dim the screen approximately every ten minutes or so. I have to hit some button on the controller to light the screen back up. Please help!

    Netflix dims after time

    Netflix dims every ten minutes or so and I have to move the controller every time so it brightens again

    Xbox One dims screen every ten minutes

    I had this same problem after the update. Contacted Microsoft two times and was told to just hit the controller when this happens. After hours of messing with tv and xbox settings I decided to do something that support should have suggested. I restored the
    console to factory default and reinstalled all my apps. Its fixed. Maybe Microsoft should give me a tech job.

    This is an ongoing issue with the new update. Factory resets don't work, nor does hard resets. I have the same issue and what Microsoft just told me over chat is they are looking into the issue via bug troubleshooting.
