Xbox One Dims in settings then fades to black within settings

I am having the exact same problem. The screen dims every 10min while watching Netflix. The problem seems to have just started with the update that just took place. (Xbox one)

I cannot find any setting to adjust or disable the screen-dim feature. (I also don't have a kinect)

No settings have been altered within the TV.

What is going on?

I have a screen dimming issue also..but I have only spotted it on the "settings" menu's. sometimes they will dim, but are still usable, but most times the settings are inaccessible because the screen goes black, I can hit the back button and return to a
previous screen and my picture will come up again..very strange..not affecting gameplay though, only settings menu.

The fading in and out could potentially be HDR if your TV supports it, sometimes it has that effect and appears to be dimming the screen in and out.

There are a couple of things you can maybe do to check to make sure your TV is 100% compatible with the 4k and HDR (if it has).

Double check the settings on the Xbox to make sure that everything is supported.

Also check the settings on the TV itself, as sometimes this is where the error actually is.

My xbox one x has an issue with loading games in HDR. When a game or netflix starts up. My screen dims dark. Like it fade away. All colours are dark and not bright.

I have a 4K/HDR tv with a 10 bit panel. And it doenst work.

I tried everything. Switching settings from my tv and xbox, hard reset, different HDMI 2.0 port and cabel. Only HDR in 8 bit mode doenst go dark. But I know my TV has an working 10 bit panel that works with other content beside my xbox one x.

Same here. It looks as if you have screen dim on as a power saving feature. The problem with this bug is that dims the screen as soon as you start and play an hdr game or app.
