Xbox one digital games

When you buy these games do you need to type in a different account and password of the person selling it or is it just a 25 digit code?

 

Nah I need to sign out and make a new account with the account details given thru email or ebay messages, I don't even know if you still can get them redeem codes for games.

 

Well having to create a new account sounds really dodgy in my opinion. I buy 25 digit codes for my games if I do not buy them directly from my console.

 

If you want to buy digital games you need to buy them on your account.

You have become the victim of an unfortunate violation of the terms and conditions of LIVE.

You can't buy and sell accounts. If you bought a game on your account and then sold your details to someone else so they could gain access to the game without paying it then you've broken the terms and conditions of XBox LIVE and so has the person who bought
it.

You can game share with family and even friends. Microsoft do not mind this. However you cannot do what you did as it involves the buying and selling of XBox LIVE accounts, even if, in your case, it is just a means to an end of getting the game.

If something you want costs 100 dollars and you shop around and see it for sale in different places for anywhere from 90 - 110 dollars... and then suddenly see somewhere selling it for 50 dollars... it's more than likely a case of when something seems too
good to be true... it usually is.

Digital games are expensive. Just let it come out on disc and wait a week or 2. "Fallout 4" dropped to almost half price in less than 2 weeks after release.

If you want to buy a digital game YOU must buy it on YOUR account. If someone sells you a digital code and it's a really good deal, that's fair enough as far as Microsoft is concerned.

However you cannot buy and sell XBox LIVE accounts.

 

Yes, hard-disk is better, and installs faster --don't have to wait for download --you can trade them in if they suck, which is a good critique/ feedback system for publishers to go by. People can't trade in digital games, this makes the crappy/ shoddy games
go on in ignorance, such as Quantum Break, which was more of a $29.99 value game, as it was very short and had very little gameplay.

Also, I saw your other post. Don't buy digital games from Ebay anymore. I'm assuming the better deals you are finding on there are from people that generate their own DLC codes and sell them at a reduced price. Meaning, they aren't legit codes, but allow
you to redeem the game. Microsoft is able to track legit codes that they issue.

 

VHD you're making it sound like M$ is robbing you. Stop parading against digital downloads as a whole. The moral of the story here is don't buy from Ebay/ third party website, unless you are going to be receiving the physical, unopened redeem voucher. Otherwise,
buy it only from Xbox Live.

I too am against doing away with physical media, mostly because publishers have no way to know when a title did badly because they can't be returned or traded in. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with digital and Microsoft isn't going to remove your license
if you bought it from them to begin with because they track the redeem codes that are legit, and black list the bad ones.
