Xbox One digital game not installing

So I've been trying to reinstall my digital copy of The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition but there isn't any progress with regards to the installation. All I'm seeing is "Installing...." and it hasn't been making any progress for the past hour. I've tried deleting
my local saves and cache, hard resetting the console, going offline and trying again, but none of these fixes are working. Also, whenever I try to pause/cancel it, it does not pause or cancel.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

downloading games while off

I know the xbox one will continue to install digital games when it's off but will it keep installing the game if I use the disc?

Xbox one freezing problem!

My Xbox one always freezes on home screen everytime I'm installing a digital game. Does anyone know a permanent fix to this? thanks

Apologies to hear about the issue. There was a service alert up addressing issues similar to you are reporting and should now be resolved. Could you give your Xbox One console a quick power cycle by holding the power button down and give it another shot
after booting up? Keep us posted if you're still hitting any issues!

If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

Digitally purchased game's can be transfered to save time yes

If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them

You should be able to re-install your digital titles from the Store or by following the steps in our guide on
Installing Games on Xbox One.

All games have to be installed on the Xbox One whether they are disc or digital. It's due to the technology. The 360 did not require games to be installed which is why a 360 game may show differently, but will still install the game on the One.
