Xbox One Digital game download

My 20 year old brother has honestly become obsessed he stays home all day playing my xbox games

He plays almost 24/7 he doesn't let me sleep properly and doesn't allow me to PLAY ON MY OWN XBOX GAMES

The games I purchased were bought digitally and I was wondering if there was a way I could somehow block him from playing my games? He also has his own profile

Please help me I'm very tired of not being able to play what I rightfully own.

5 games took 250 gig of space is it normal?

I have the below games downloaded on xbox one.

Assassin creed Unity ( digital download)

Assassin Creed Black Flag ( digital download)

Dance Central ( digital download)

Forza Horizon ( via disc)

sports rival ( via disc)

These games have consumed 250 GB of 500 GB hard disc on xbox one. is this normal?.

 

Anyone else going all Digital?

Digital games are still overpriced on Xbox One, but yeah I bought BF4 and Titanfall as digital downloads on Xbox one.

 

Don't you have parents? If its your console take it back, if its his get your own.

 

My parents are forcing me to allow him to play I just don't want him to play my games because I payed for them.

 

Find a big stick and beat him.

Yes play the console on games you can't split screen. Who cares if he is playing your games when your not playing it, he's your brother. Just make sure you get them when you want them.

How about getting him to stream and he pays for the games through subscriptions and donations......

Or just get him something else to do.

 

If the digital games are yours and don't want him to play, it's as simple as removing the X Box One as your "Home" console; you would have to be signed into Live with the account that has rights to the game in order to play.

 

Tell your parents to stop empowering him and teach him about bounderies. Your Xbox, your games, your money.

 

Delete his profile from the console and change your sign in preferences so other accounts on the Xbox can not access your content.

If OP's account is the main account and has the console set as the "Home" console on that account, I don't even think it's necessary to remove it as the "Home" console. All that
should need to happen is for that account to turn off Gold Sharing. Then, make sure that account is not set to automatically log in and sign out before shutting it down.

If Gold Sharing is turned off and the main account doesn't sign in when the console is turned on, nobody should be able to play a game unless it's owned by their account, or unless
they know the main account's login info.

But something tells me there is more going on here than meets the eye. Something just isn't adding up...

 

@A Blue Illusion, I was under the impression that turning of Gold sharing just made it so others on Silver accounts couldn't go live, but would still have access to the games? My girlfriend is Silver (So believe Gold sharing is impossible.) and yet I can
play her games on her Home console. She can play online and play my games at my house, long as I have Gold sharing on; currently we are not doing the "Set hers as mine, and mine is hers (Home.)" for the buy one, get one free digital games. I could be wrong...it's
been known to happen. Lol.

^This is what I found... and it is pretty vague as to what the actual difference between Gold Sharing and simply setting a "Home Xbox" is. Seems like they're intertwined. The main reason I suggested it was out of yet another question it brought up for me.
Can one simply 'un-assign' an Xbox as their Home Xbox? Or do they have to actually have a second Xbox to assign as the Home Xbox in order to do it?

Quick addition, @ Deedles. As I was reading, the bit with your GF is answered. With "Share Gold" on, you could even go to a friend's house and log into their console... and this would give any Silver account access to Gold features as long as you're signed
in.
