Xbox One digital downloads always stuck at 0%

Hello everyone,

I was hoping someone on here could help me with this issue. Just yesterday I was trying to update Black Ops 4 on my Xbox and it was stuck near 0%, it said it was installing and it was displaying the download speed but the speed was stuck and the download
progress was stuck around 1%. It wouldn't let me pause the game download and honestly wouldn't let me do anything, I couldn't open any games or apps. I turned off my Xbox and turned it back on and I got the notification that the installation stopped. I tried
to update again and the same thing happened and so the only thing I could do was I turned my Xbox off one more time and just uninstalled the game. Now trying to download pretty much any other digital game it gets stuck at 0%, says installing and says download
speed is the same. I've already factory reset my Xbox saving the games on it a couple of weeks ago and I did that because of this same issue and it seemed to work but I'm not so sure now.

Has anyone run into this same problem?

Thank you for the quick response.

I did the soft factory reset and that went smoothly. I tried to download a different game than what I was trying earlier and it was a little better. This time it downloaded for a while, got to 5.3% and then notified me 3 times that installation had stopped.

What would you suggest I do now? Did that reset delete any corrupt files or do I have to go through my games and find them?

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue of downloading. Sounds like there may be system files that are corrupt causing this. We recommend to do a

soft factory reset where you select reset and keep my games and apps.

More than likely this issue would be 1. A cause of xbox servers

Or 2. A faulty console

There are few ways to tackle this issue;

1) press the xbox button your console >>> settings >>> storage >>> clear local saved games >>> don't your gamess along with your profile will remain in the cloud.

Then power cycle the xbox wait 10 secs

I had the same problem. I went through every troubleshooting procedure. Numerous Errors... E101,102,105,106.

It ended up being a corrupt HDD with too many bad sectors. Ended up swapping in a 1TB SSD. Works like a charm now.

I've been building computers for 20 years and have never had a hard drive fail this quick on me unless it was DOA. A sector scan of my OEM drive showed numerous bad sectors. Of course, I'm outside of my one year warranty. There's a 0x800... error that will
pop up, which is a Win10 error for device I/O (input/output) failure.

Plenty of resources online for swapping out the drive if you're outside of warranty and don't want to shell out for an MS repair ($250).
