Xbox One didnt remember external storage, so games are hidden now.

I was using a external storage to expand my xbox's storage, so i had more than 20 games in it. but yesterday i took the device and connected it to pc to see what happens. but now when i connect it back to xbox, xbox does not see the games in that device.
so i lost my closely 20 games. i need to reinstall them. can i get back my games without installing? like can i reconnect the device? cuz when i connect it to xbox, nothing happens...

It might seem like an obvious question, but is your console switched on when you connect the external HDD?

If the console is switched on during connection then it will not read the HDD. Make sure the console is off prior to connecting.

i tried that, same issue again. nothing happens. games are shown in recently played but when i clicked it says ''download the game''. also my storage was 1300 before and now its 360.

All those games are on the external drive? is your Xbox recognizing the drive? Try checking here. Make sure your external hard drive is connected properly. Edit: The games might be hidden

no when i uninstall it just exits the menu and does nothing, but when i first hit uninstall it did something to where in the games section it shows two minecrafts, one normal and one that says “installing..”. the external storage i do not know, i dont think so and dont remember anything about external storage but i also do not know how to check. when pausing/canceling the update by clicking start over it and then pause installation, it exits out of the menu acting like it did something but it didnt.

You need to manage your storage by following Support to manage storage on XBox one.

You could also purchase a external HDD, but remember your game saves are also synchronized with the cloud.
