XBox One - Diablo III: Reaper of Souls will not start. Stuck at title screen.

I am going to pass on some information , I have been having this problem for about 3 weeks, My internet is bad (slow) I have attempted to install 4 times. 1st 3 times was on an external drive I was able to play after 30% and 1st time it quit about 95%
and would not run after end(Diablo Screen then Black Crash) 2nd time had multiple Instillation Stops said Full Drive (was still playable after 30% and finished but did same (Diablo Screen then Black Crash) after finish install , 4th time was on the internal
drive (gave up on external), same playable after 30% and got to end and Diablo Screen then Black Crash. I am trying one last install and when it is installed I will leave it and call Microsoft because I am out of ideas, this time I will be patient and not
play it until done installing (note: each install is taking 4-7 days because of garbage/slow internet)

I was able to solve this problem by turning on my Xbox, pressing and holding the power button on the console for around 10 seconds, then turning it back on. Hope this helps!

 

I was having the same problem. Stuck at the picture of death, wouldn't load any further. I held down the power button, then unplugged the xbox one. Waited about a minute. Plugged it back in and it loaded up. Digital copy btw.

 

I'm having the same problem..digital copy ...played about 5hrs last night now stuck on screen?..so I'm guessing by reading everyone's getting the work around?

 

I am having a very frustrating issue with D3: RoS as well on my XB1. It started off that EVERY TIME I was in Act 3 towards the Arreat Crater, my game would crash to the dashboard every time. Now, it crashes no matter which character I am logged onto. If
I start a new character, it will crash randomly in Act 1 now.

It makes no sense. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the game several times, console reset, deleted saves-resynch saves, etc, and every time, my game crashes to the XB1 dashboard when I try to play.

I have no issues with any other games and the physical game disc looks perfect. Is there a chance that my disc is somehow defective, or God forbid, my actual console!? I cannot figure out why the game keeps going to dash.

I posted my issue to the Blizzard forums last month, but I have received no responses.

 

Having the Same issue as everyone else here. Digital version for me. Game crashes after the title screen and reverts me back to the dashboard. On my first Install attempt, I got as far as the character creation and when I went to start the campaign, it crashed.
Re-downloaded three times, still no luck. I've also tried all the hard reseting.

 

Does anyone know if its possible to get refunds for digital downloads, if something like this happens to them?

 

Guys, this issue happened with madden 2015 for me too. The fix I found for that worked for me here, too.

Try this:

Xbox menu/ settings/ network/ advanced settings/alternate Mac address: - select clear alternate Mac address.

Accept reboot.

When it's powered off, *unplug it*, let it sit for 30 seconds.

Once powered back on, go back to:Xbox menu/settings/disc and blu ray/persistent storage:

Select clear persistent storage.

I didnt lose any saved game data. It worked for me. Your mileage may vary.
