So does this mean only my associated account can use a dev mode or can I use one of my other Xbox profiles to use dev mode?

Which console are you trying to activate dev mode on? Are you using a console from Xbox One family or the Xbox Series X|S?

If you're using an Xbox One, you have to perform this through the "Dev Mode Activation" app
If you're using an Xbox Series X|S, you have to perform this through the "Xbox Dev Mode" app

Yeah I've seen that case a while back but the question is if you misused that sandbox ID and managed to get back to retail by resetting the console back to retail and of course there were other people who messed around with it and managed to also get it
back to retail without harming the console because that's one of the ways to leave the sandbox mode without enabling the dev kit by resetting the console but is there a risk of getting banned because of I've seen those same people who messed around with it
are still gaming online and they don't have a bad rep or anything and neither is the dev mode a jailbreak exploit? Because a lot of people on YouTube posted a bunch of clickbait videos claiming that the enabling the dev kit and then resetting it to factory
and then they'll have a jailbroken console which is dumb because if you enable dev mode wether from the hidden dev settings or the app or whatever and then resetting it to factory is only going to reset the console to it's retail state tell me if you what
you see and hear in those videos and comments on YouTube are fake?

Ok heres a puzzling question about the dev mode because at first it was a hidden setting in the console info settings and you had to press a button combo like the bumpers and triggers LB RB LT RT combination and the developer settings would appear
but I'm not sure if this was an official method of enabling the dev kit before the dev mode activation app was made to the public and not either sure if the button combination i mentioned above is either a glitch or a hack can anyone tell me if this was how
the developer settings was once accessible before the app was out?
