Xbox One Design Lab controller de-syncing randomly

Just recently received a design lab controller for valentines day. Ever since I got it it has been de-syncing frequently. The light will stay on but my inputs will not be displayed on my screen. It only happens with this controller. When I have it plugged
in via USB it works flawlessly. I have tried Power cycling my controller and Xbox. I have tried changing the batteries. I have also updated my controller to the latest firmware. Don't know what to do at this point besides replace it but since it was a gift
I don't know how that will work. HALP.

Does the controller from the design lab come with bluetooth like the xbox one s and elite controllers or are they like the original xbox controller?

The support guide gds1972 sent is a great place to start. Keep in mind that other electronics and devices that use Wi-Fi can have an impact on the controller and the console.

Be sure to keep your console clear of other devices and maybe try shifting things around if you are still having issues with the connection.

The warranty for Design Lab controllers is 120 days (6 months). You can use this article (Xbox Design Lab and Xbox
Design Lab controller help) for any troubleshooting you need for your controller. If you do need servicing for your controller, you can set it up at https://support.microsoft.com/devices.

If you continue to have issues with the DL controller I would suggest setting up a repair order if it's still under warranty.
