Xbox One & Denon AVR post update issue

    Hey all,

I've been Googling this problem a few days now and am fed up at this point so I'm making a post and praying for an answer.

I believe I can pinpoint this problem to the latest Xbox One update. Because nothing
else that I recall would have changed any settings and I had no issues before.

I have an Xbox One (with my Direct TV DVR running through it) hooked into my Denon
    AVR
1913, then theDenon out to the TV. Pretty standard stuff. All connected via HDMI.

My Xbox will turn all my components off and on still, but for whatever reason, I only get video but NO AUDIOuntil I turn my receiver off then on again. When I turn it off then back on, I notice an extra digital
sign on theDenon display that comes on, that wasn't on when the audio wasn't
coming through. It's "PCM." it's not there when I'm not getting audio.

To add to this, my Xbox One settings will not change off "stereo uncompressed" until
I restart then receiver. But once I do I can choose the 7.1 uncompressed I want, however it doesn't stay that way. When I turn theXbox off then back on, I have to re-do the process. The most frustrating part is just restarting the Denon
    receiver
each time I turn on my damn TV/setup.

    Please help! <3

Second thought - I did buy the Xbox One Stereo Headset (btw it chops a lot and it's basically unusable). But perhaps this is what's creating the issue? Hooking it up locked audio somehow?

    :)

Xbox One unable to detect that my receiver supports DD5.1, DD7.1 or DTS

I have a Denon AVR-3311CI and it accepts HDMI audio. I've always used / run the HDMI cable from my Xbox 360 to my Denon 3311CI (GAME - IN), and then another HDMI cable from my Denon 3311CI (MONITOR - OUT) to my Panasonic Plasma (HDMI 1). The Denon AVR-3311CI
    would display DOLBY DIGITAL!!

With the Xbox One, I am running the HDMI cable from the Xbox One to my Denon AVR-3311CI (GAME - IN), and then the HDMI cable from my Denon AVR-3311CI (Monitor - OUT) to my Panasonic Plasma (HDMI 1). The Denon AVR-3311CI displays MULTI-CHANNEL with 5.1
UNCOMPRESSED AUDIO selected. NO DOLBY DIGITAL like the Xbox 360.

I just ordered a Denon AVR-X4000 AV Receiver to replace my Denon AVR-3311CI AV Receiver. I plan on using the Denon AVR-3311CI in another room with my second Xbox One console.

Hopefully Microsoft will get their ACT together and start fixing some of these issues. I think the console should've waited another year before it was released, as I'm guessing it will take about a year before things "seem" right.

    Just my two cents.

  3. Xbox One/AVR Sound Issue (Denon)

    Hey everyone,

Just want to see if anyone else is having this issue, and whether it's related to my Xbox or AVR.

I have my Cable box going through my xbox, to my Denon E300 AVR.

After playing a video game and want to watch tv, I tell my xbox to "Watch TV". Almost always, there's either a delay in the AVR picking up the audio coming from the TV, or there's no audio at all. I have to turn everything off and back on again.

Has anyone else had this issue or know what to do to fix it? Do you think its the Xbox One or AVR? It's really annoying when switching between a game and TV.

    Thanks!

Xbox one and Denon AVR-791 no audio/image

    Evandro,

I have the same receiver and have not had issues with the audio or images going through my denon AVR-791.

I am on the hunt to get the command "volume up or volume down" to work but so far no luck. I've tried searching for the proper remote code for the receiver and again no luck.

So I guess my question is does anyone know the remote code for the Denon AVR-791 that works with the Xbox One?

Netflix Not Outputting Dolby Atmos On Xbox One

    Atmos trouble on Xbox x

Hi, PiotrONX, my name is Adam.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Xbox X series and Denon AVR. Here are some steps that you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check your audio settings: Make sure that your Xbox X series is set to output audio in Dolby Atmos format. To do this, go to Settings > General > Volume & audio output > Audio output, and then select Dolby Atmos for home theater. If you have already done this, try toggling the setting off and on again.

    2. Check your HDMI connections: Ensure that your Xbox X series is connected to your Denon AVR via an HDMI cable that supports Dolby Atmos. Also, make sure that your Denon AVR is set to the correct input source.

    3. Update your firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Denon AVR. If there are, update your firmware to the latest version.

    4. Reset your Xbox X series: If none of the above steps work, try resetting your Xbox X series to its default settings. To do this, go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console > Reset and remove everything.

    I hope this helps!
    Adam.
