Xbox One defective controller

Hello everyone,

in March 2020 I bought a new Xbox One S in a electronics store.

Trying a new game I've noticed these days that the controller's LS button doesn't work.

In the shop they told me to follow the Microsoft procedure but if I try to do the warranty procedure it says the controller is out of warranty. Shouldn't the controller warranty last as long as the console warranty (12 months at least?)

In addition, "XBOX ONE S ALL DIGITAL S-MK REFRESH" is indicated on the description of the purchase invoice. Does this mean that the console I bought (or part of) is actually refurbished?

for steps that can be completed to either resolve the issue with the controller, or determine that the controller would be needing replacement. Try this out for us and then let us know the results.

I bought an xbox one controller in a retail near my home. Turns out the the controller was defective (the B button didn't register properly). The retail exanged it for a new one. After a few mounts of use the new controller started making a very
high pitch noise when it bribrates. The retail support said it had to be send to the brand for repair. I picked it up today, after it has been "repaired", but the problem is still there. I am not satisfied with your product, overall it just feels very cheap.
I had a logitec controller for a few years and never had a single problem with it, but with your xbox controller this happens in a period of 2/3 mounts. I paid full price for a defective product. One thing im sure, I will never purchase a product from microsoft
ever again.

I wouldnt reccomend buying a controller from an electronics store because the controller might not be a microsoft liscenced product. My advice is to take it to your local gamestop or gaming store and have them check the controller to see if its in fact
a liscenced product. There are many third party independant companies out there that make wireless gaming controllers for xbox but they dont meet the microsoft standards of use which could be why your controller isnt working properly. Microsoft products are
made bt microsoft for the xbox another place to find a new controller if this one you have wont work is target they also sell microsoft controllers hopefully this helps you

you can also go directly to the xbox store on a PC and order one from the website
and itll ship to your house
