Xbox One Default Headset Not Working?

Hi guys,

A few days ago my stereo chat adaptor stopped working out of the blue, So today I go in to Game and buy a normal Xbox one headset and did not work either, But here is the strange thing the chat adaptor "Mute" works with no volume at all, and the brand new
headset "Mute" light dose not work at all, I got it work for about 5 mins before allot of squealing came though the headset... anyhelp?

I can hear people just fine, they just can't hear me.

I stepped away from my console for about half an hour the other day and it just stopped. Yet I still can talk to people through Kinect.

I've tried Xbox.com help page to try and get it working again and nothing.

What else can I do???

 

Have you tried Updating your Controller? May you^ve lowered the Volume total, so that you can^t hear anything? You can test if get to the Maximum or Minimum of Volume Control you should hear a beep! Otherwise do a Full PowerCycle. Holding PowerButton on
XBOX for ~12 seconds. wait until power supply light turns oragne, unplug from electricity wait 60 seconds and try again..

If your online with some Buddy try also the Game-Chat. I also got some issues in Party Chat last days,,,

If you^re in a Party, can you see the blue Ring indicating that youre speaking?

 

The controllers is upto date i have tried power cycling it says my mic is plugged it seems there is no power going to the headset no beeping sound when volume is maxed out, it makes no sense when the chat adaptor gets power

 

Make shure that there is no dust or dirt in the male and femaleplûg of Adapter and Controller, may try only for testing another Headset, headphone... and check your "Gaming-Headset" at a Radio or your Smartphone.

So we can say which part is faulty..

otherwise Register your Console on xbox.com and request a Repair...
