Discus and support Xbox One Dedicated Servers in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Haven't purchased an Xbox One yet and still on the fence.     Xbox One Dedicated Servers


    Haven't purchased an Xbox One yet and still on the fence. Titanfall bundle may make me bite, but was wondering about the dedicated servers / online play / lag?

    Are all multi-player games running on dedicated servers? I tried googling but couldn't find anything really. Also, has there been a lot of lag complaints with games like Bf4, COD, Madden?

    Call of duty Xbox one "real" dedicated servers

    From what I know Ghost on the Xbox One will use Microsoft's Azure Dedicated servers while the PS4, PS3, 360 and Wii U will use dedicated servers and listen servers.

    Does Xbox One have dedicated servers for online play?

    Does Microsoft provide dedicated servers for all online games on the xbox one?

    For instance, does CoD have dedicated servers, thus making gameplay lag free?

    EA games are currently running off EA servers, not sure about COD, but BF4 and PvZ Garden warfare are for sure running off ea servers, and for that reason i assume madden. Lag is either no existent or terrible, there is no .1 second lag, it is either no
    lag or 3 second lag if servers are new or full. Wish i could try a high action game with x1 dedicated servers, but have not, guess first one will be Titan Fall.

    I own BF4 on ps4 and x1 lag issue mentioned above is identical, but might be better on x1, or could just be in my head.

    It is up to each individual developer/publisher as to whether they choose to use Microsoft azure servers....some do, others don't. Microsoft has proclaimed that the servers can be used by any developer if they want them.

    Forza uses them, and I have never had any lag. (Except a car bouncing around the track and hitting the invisible walls XD)

    Titanfall runs smooth as anything, and what's more the lag occurs mostly on games like BF4 using inferior EA servers or CoD, which doesn't have dedicated servers at all.

    Titanfall beta used them and they ran smooth. There was a hiccup in the first day of the beta but the Devs said they worked that out which is what the beta was for.

    Xbox One Dedicated Servers

    Might be worth saying with titanfall it chooses the quickest server, in my case West Europe at a 12ms ping, it slowed to 16ms during peak times.

    ^Infinity Ward has already released a statement that the Xbox One is not strictly dedicated servers, it's a mixture of dedicated and listen servers. As for every other game, there will be dedicated servers available but there's no guarantee that every single
    match you play will be on them.

    Well there are a few dedicated servers such as in call of duty: ghost on the xbox 360. And yes Microsoft confirmed that all xbox one titles and games will have dedicated servers.

    it is a different network as all of it runs on dedicated servers, and all the games run on dedicated server, that is why there is no cross play and no party chat between 360 and xbox one, and this xbox one is awesome, glad I got one.

    If they confirm dedicated servers in my country for this game I will buy a Xbox One for it. They have said it will have dedicated servers but going to wait and see which countries they are in.
