  1. Xbox One- Day One/touch start no longer able to repair???

So after all these years of perfection, my XOne has decided to act up. After trying all the methods of resetting the console (and it working a couple of times) it just does the same thing everytime it's booted up and sticks on the splash screen.

I have to wait for hours...if it eventually gets through the whole process of a factory reset...the reset during this sends me back to square one with the splash screen. I really don't want to leave it turned on 24/7 once I've managed to get a successful reset.

I looked into the repair and apparently I can't get it fixed by Microsoft as the console is discontinued (obvs the warranty is OOD). I just get thanked for being an Xbox Fan....well not anymore

I was fine paying whatever they said, I've got years of games and memories on there. It was my first release day, wait in line all night, console purchase and it's only flaw is the HDMI sticker on the front peeled away in a corner a bit. And a tid bit of dust (air sprayed every couple of months)

Does anyone know of a repair place that is trustworthy, might as well break that void seal. If I can't get it fixed I can't exactly buy a new one..way to damn expensive for me right now, but what the hell am I supposed to do with a peice of kit that I've spent thousands on...I if swear of anyone says 'just buy a new console' I'll snap and launch the thing through the nearest Microsoft office windows I can find.... (joking obviously...but kinda not)

Seriously though any help will be appriciated.

    Thanks in advance

    :)

Xbox One- Day One/touch start no longer able to repair???

Thanks, yeah I know but when the parent company can't repair a product where else are we supposed to go, hoping to raise a few alarms tbh, see if the big cheeses can help out any. If I had done a normal post it wouldn't gain traction and get noticed šŸ˜

I need to find a Microsoft office's window now though 😩

Don't think I'll bother with a new console until the pro batch is released, maybe a year...just to avoid the problem I'm having now, especially seeing as games have gotten to nearly a quarter the price of the newer console itself.

You're being forced into the game passes because its cheaper in the long run...yeah that's great but mugs off game collectors and people who prefer discs, imho...and no access without internet or live 😤...some people can't afford all this stuff right now and gaming is the only thing keeping them sane (I lost my mind a looong time ago, around the release of Dark Souls 2, but the point stands)

You either upgrade an end of life product nor repair it

    Its too costly

Espeically one that was horribly handicaped

Evem.a xbox one s would cost you less then it would to repair

And thenbenefits of the upgrade outweigh the cost of the repair

UHD and lack of the massive power brick and full use of your GPU and the removal of the design flaw that costs.the original xbox one it's performance

They can be had for 150 or less

And removes the bottleneck built into the subsystem

The original xbox one has a design feature that cost 30% of the performance of the CPU removal of that feature increases performance hence the uhd and faster performance on games especially since the discontinuation of kinect there isnt much meaning to .keep the original

Its the s ram (meant for kinect ) that causes issues in holding the original xbox one back

The xbox one has been discontinued since series x release the original was because it was well a bad design with a huge powrr brick and it made the unit heavier and bigger then nessary and yes kinect was bulky and the s was 10% less the site of the original and the x was only slightly larger due to cooling and a bigger cpu/gpu combo and more ram

    Self repair can't be discussed

And for the cost you are better off buying a xbox one s used even cause it doesn't need a power brick trust me I traded in my original for a xbox one s before I upgraded ro the xbox one x and the series x

Red Ring of Death or Red Dot NEED HELP (Xbox 360 Slim)

You would have to set up a repair with Microsoft. However, if one of the things you tried involved opening the console they will no longer touch it.

    Does Microsoft still fix 360s?

If you had paid Microsoft to fix it originally, it would probably no longer be an issue. I believe they no longer repair any consoles from 2009 and earlier, but since you've had yours repaired by someone else, they wouldn't touch it. Self repair or repair
by anyone who is not Microsoft is a violation of the terms of service. In your case, it would be best to just get a new one.
